We have drinks, streamers, sparklers, and aliens, no matter which world you’re celebrating on! The denizens of Velukaelo and those of the Chasm-Connected worlds have been aware of each other for years, and our celebration is back and better than ever!
While Ketucari and Rixixi have had relationships every now and again, something new has started to spring up - a hybrid species referred to as the Ketixi! With the help of B-NOMALY mechanic Steele and expert engineer Kenkasei, the B-NOMALY’s breeding safety machine was altered with tarn water to safely join the genes of Rixixi and Ketucari while filtering out all sorts of possible issues. While it is possible to create a Ketixi naturally, it is rare, so we recommend use of the machine!
Something else new has cropped up again - with further experiments to the breeding safety machine, Ketucari and B-NOMALIES have been able to hybridize into what passes as a bipedal companion on Velukaelo and a subtype of B-NOMALY in the Chasm! KETU-NOMALIES stand mostly bipedally, and have a few K-NOM specific traits such as Godkiller Face and Godkiller Hands due to their heritage!
Further, the Manticore Alchemy Ring has taken to certain traits of Ketixi, making new Ketixi Manticores. This is... normal, we're sure. We're not going to question them. It's probably fine.
Species Information: Ketixi

A hybrid of Ketucari and Rixixi, Ketixi are bulky, muscular quadrupeds. Appearing similar to a combination of a Primal subspecies of Rixixi and a Ketucari no matter their actual Rixixi heritage, they primarily stand on four legs, but can walk in a bipedal stance for a short time, similar to ursines. Much like Rixixi, the Ketixi breathes through a vent system, visible on their sides. Much like Ketucari, they have a combination of fur and feathers covering their body, and their frill - both spiked and leathery as well as covered in feathers - is extremely expressive.
They are approximately the size of a Standard build Ketucari, standing 16-20 hands tall at the shoulder. Rixixi commonly measure their quadrupeds by length, and Ketixi are comparable to a large Primal, measuring 12-16 feet long from snout to tailtip on average.
Ketixi are all some form of intersex due to their Rixixi heritage. Due in part to their unusual heritage, they are all sterile.
Species Information: KETU-NOMALY
A hybrid of Ketucari and B-NOMALY, KETU-NOMALIES are classed as a subtype of B-NOMALY in the Chasm-Connected worlds, and as a bipedal companion in Velukaelo. Standing at around 3 feet tall (unless altered by mutations such as Giant, Dragon Body Type, or Always Anthro), these hybrids have B-NOMALY bodies and mutations, while bearing Ketucari-like faces (albeit with a second mouth covered in a beak like a B-NOMALY) and Ketucari-like hands, as well as modified B-NOMALY tails that appear closer to typical Ketucari tails.
Regardless of heritage, their Ketucari traits always appear similarly to standard Ketucari. They have access to all B-NOMALY mutations including Fogholder.
Despite their interspecies heritage, K-NOMs can breed, but only with other B-NOMALIES.
When filling out a form to create a KETU-NOMALY companion, please include both the Companion Race form and the B-NOMALY traits used.

Manticores are human.
The Manticore Alchemy Ring is a group of humans fascinated by both Rixixi and extreme body modifications, now branching out into Ketixi as well. They use a combination of body modification - including surgery - and gene splicing to make themself have the appearance of Rixixi, and now Ketixi as well, albeit bipedal Ketixi.

Manticores are human, but are not classed as Companions. This is to make their abilities and stats line up with the Chasmhome side better. Your gene-spliced humans are not restricted from any Ketucari activities other than breeding, they inherited the same infertility as Ketixi.
Ketixi Breeding
Each player can enter ONE KETUCARI and ONE RIXIXI into a breeding to get one Ketixi geno per breeding! Ketucari and Rixixi must both be breedable (or a starter) for this event, but the breedings will not reduce their total slots!
To enter a starter, you must do at least a colored headshot or 100 words of that starter!
You have 1 Breeding by default! By entering 2 of the main events and the advertising bonus here, you may obtain up to 3 additional breedings!
Breedings will not be subject to Matriarch Kills or infertility penalties. Breedings will be subject to radiation sickness and inbreeding penalties if relevant. Breeding boosters may not be used. Rixixi are considered to have a disk automatically and can breed with any ketucari gender-wise. These are all considered full litters to you, but you can do what you please with the cubs afterwards.
As Rixixi Subspecies can pass mutations inherently, Ketucari Builds have been granted the ability to pass mutations inherent to them as well, seen here on the second tab.
Starters with lineage skills, Wanderers, and Mechanix may not be rented for this event.

Ketixi Semicustoms
Would you rather have something definite than a random breeding? Having trouble picking out a good pair? Have we got an option for you. You can trade in one of your breedings for a semicustom! The semi will come with 4 Common Markings, 2 Uncommon Markings, and 2 Mutations by default, and you can add on items to increase that amount.
Combination Mutations count as rare genes, but the 2 mutations can be used to make a combination mutation if desired.
To increase the default further, you can draw a colored headshot gift of someone else's Ketucari.com or Chasmho.me character (any species as long as they have an import!) for a Rare gene OR Feather type. To get BOTH a Rare gene AND Feather type, you can upgrade that gift art to a colored fullbody! Make sure the other person's character is marked as open for gift art, or ask first! Gifting art to starters and NPCs does not count for this.
This trade can only be done twice per Veluchasm event.

Additionally: You can claim one Manticore Ketixi Semicustom optionally by doing any event in Veluchasm! This does not use up the event (it can be redeemed for other things), and does not use up any of your semicustoms. Go to the regular Semicustom Trade thread with your event to turn in and the rest of your information and just put that it's a Manticore Ketixi Semicustom in the Other information section!
Ketixi Manticores have the same rules as regular Semicustoms (including gifting rules), except that Feather Types can be freely used. They are kind of the draw of the Manticores.
Manticores can also be used for your regular Semicustoms, there's just also a free manticore for your troubles!
Remember that Manticores have restrictions on mutations!

Please specify if you want your slot to be available for Cloning Vat semicustoms. Cloning Vat slots cannot be signed to Anyone, they have to be to a specific user.
As these do not take from your Ketucari or Rixixi's slot count, slots for this should be gifted, not sold - they should generally be free. Manticore Alchemy Ring: Ketixi Live Transmutation
"Welcome, welcome. Let's see what we can do to you."
All players can do Live Transmutation for free ONCE per Veluchasm. To do Live Transmutation in Veluchasm, you'll need one Rixixi geno and one Ketucari geno, both unuploaded.
Veluchasm Live Transmutation uses the same RNG as regular Live Transmutation, with the following modifications:
- All fusions become Ketixi. A fusion into a Manticore becomes a Ketixi Manticore. Blanks are Ketixi.
- Genes that transfer to the other species turn into their counterpart. Genes may disappear if they have no counterpart. If a majority of genes would disappear, a reroll may occur.
- If not fused, Ketucari cannot have mutations and Rixixi cannot have feather types. If the option rolls to pull only mutations from the other geno, either reroll or use the assigned mutations for each ketucari build.

There are all sorts of folks to meet at the Festival, and it’s held on all of the Chasm-Connected worlds as well as Velukaelo! While you’re here, why not introduce yourself to someone new? It could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
Depict your own Ketucari, Rixixi, or B-NOMALY meeting a different world’s sapient species at the festival! Entries should meet Ketucari’s minimum art requirements - the character you’re meeting does not count as an extra character for wordcount purposes. For the other character, you can use your own characters, starters, or others’ Ixi/Ketucari, but make sure to have permission if drawing others’. It is allowed to draw non-Ixi/Ketucari sapients, such as Heldyr or Arakanth.

Main Event 3
Finally, the KETU-NOMALY one! Various B-NOMALIES and Ketucari are curious about the breeding safety machine, wondering what it can make, the more casual among them wondering who to borrow to try for something interesting. Why don't you give them some ideas?
Design a K-NOM! Make sure you're using B-NOMALY traits (both B-Class and ANARCHIE allowed) for the physical features, and using the mandatory ones like Godkiller Face, Godkiller Hands, Long Tail, and Feather Duster! You have no restriction on how many Anarchic traits you can use, and Fogholder is allowed. Go wild. Fullbody with color or 300 words required.
You do not have to actually keep this design as a character, but if you want to, the option is available! Just take it to the link in Companion Races, use both the provided companion form and list all of the B-NOMALY traits used!

Technical Details
Ketixi and Ketixi Manticores are infertile and cannot breed. They can only be obtained in this event - they will not be able to be obtained via semicustoms, build changes, fogshards, or other methods.
KETU-NOMALIES can breed, but only with B-NOMALIES. They can be obtained in the Veluchasm event or through regular Companion-obtaining means, but cannot be obtained through Chasmhome MYOs. Godkiller traits for B-NOMALIES are only obtainable through these methods or through passing them down in breeding, they are not available in MYOs, trait swaps, and otherwise. KETU-NOMALIES will not have a lineage due to not being bred, except for certain raffle KETU-NOMALIES, this is just as a bit of a fun fact about where they came from.
Ketixi, KETU-NOMALIES, and Ketixi Manticores will be uploaded to both Chasmhome and Ketucari’s lorekeeper. These imports will have separate stats and some separate details, such as which companions will be uploaded to them, what items they can equip, and so on. The Chasmhome upload can be used on Chasmhome and uses items/quests/prompts native to that site, and Ketucari’s can be used on Ketucari.com and uses Ketucari items/quests/prompts. Rolls of Ketixi and KETU-NOMALIES can double-dip on both Ketucari and Chasmhome. Visual changes carry over to both uploads - if a Ketucari background is used, it will display on both Ketucari and Chasmhome. If a K-NOM's trait is changed on Chasmhome, the image will be changed on Ketucari to reflect that. If an element is learned via Chasmhome and leveled up to the point that it can display, it can display on both Ketucari and Chasmhome. Similar things can double up - you can have an elemental blessing and display elemental radiation.
As a result of their double import, Ketixi and Ketixi Manticores need to be submitted to both design approvals. There is a Ketixi thread in Ketucari and Rixixi’s design approval - use two separate stash files, one with Ketucari’s import details and one with Rixixi’s, and drop these off in the individual threads.
2024 Update: While Rixixi's Design Approval is currently taken down for a geno to MYO update, the Ketixi thread is not closed. On the Rixixi side, your Ketixi will be uploaded as a MYO - there is a guide to submitting MYO genos on Lorekeeper here. On the Ketucari side, they will be written up as a geno. Despite us not uploading on deviantArt anymore, you may still submit to Stash and go to the Design Approval thread. (we are plotting out alternate ways to do this) and just delete after it's uploaded to the Lorekeeper.
However, to keep things simple, KETU-NOMALIES only need to be submitted to the regular companion approvals with a modified form. Please include both the form found at Companion Races as well as all B-NOMALY traits used in the design so we can properly approve them.
Ketixi and Ketixi Manticores have a limited gene pool as well as several genes combined from both species. To exist on the Ketixi list, there must be a similar gene on both species. The full list is HERE, on the second tab!
You may use geno-editing items on your Ketixi and Ketixi Manticores, such as tokens, fogshard pieces, and statues. Tokens do not have a limit for Ketixi. If using a token/fogshard gene that was fused from two genes for Ketixi to make a new unique gene (eg. Sunny Ember), either the relevant fogshard or token will work. (a Sun Chrono fogshard, an Ember token). Supercharged Alchemy fogshards cannot trade the unique fused genes to a Rixixi, as they cannot be on regular Rixixi.
Mutations must be added by the designer, mutation bases will not be made for Ketixi or Ketixi Manticores. Mutations that exist in Rixixi and Ketucari can both pass on the same geno - double albinism is possible, for instance. Horns use Rixixi rules - they are fully customizable and can go anywhere on the head. You can use Ketucari bases for Ketixi horns if desired, but you will have to move them to make them fit.
If a Rixixi Fur Mutation passes, you will be asked what feather type you want it to be replaced by. This may change in the future if we run this event again and more Fur Mutations are released by then!

- You may have noticed that we did not upload anything to deviantArt but the import templates. DeviantArt has started auto-adding tags on upload to stash, suggesting tags on upload of image (specifically: if a psd is uploaded with no preview it will not suggest tags, but when the preview is added the tags are suggested), and doing other things that make it clear not only has AI been touching our shit all along, it bypasses the noAI option, and also is being applied before the noAI option can be checked. One of the ketixi imports had the 'arpg' tag auto-applied, making it clear that imports are in dA's AI system. All that said: WE DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE POSTING ON DEVIANTART AT ALL IF POSSIBLE NOW. Resources may be posted on deviantArt for accessibility. Imports will not longer be. This was the cause of the delay as we tried to decide how to deal with this and make sure we could handle moving things to the site. Thank you for your patience.
