2023 update: 
Vootru has had a long journey to get to where he is now. Tidalwave (his father) and the army were such a big part of his formative years, and years after. It took a lot for him to break free and run away from the life he knew. He's a scrawny, traumatized, scarred, survivor. Now he's been accepted into a coven in Terendum, about as far from Ilahaesa (and the army) as he could get- environmentally. He's working on himself, on healing, and has found a family that's supportive of him. He's come to rely on Eugene (Halloween- They/them) https://ketucari.com/character/KT-2095 as a true friend and older sibling. He's coming to terms with his anxiety and his trauma, but at long last he's able to feel safe and relaxed. He can find joy in learning more about the plants and herbs in the region- revisiting and reviving old passions. He makes friends with creatures of the bog, and he protects his new family in the ways that he can. He is so much more than the image his father has of him and one day Tidalwave may just realize that.
