Character: it's all up to you / change your point of view / gotta leave your cocoon / you're a butterfly Originally named "Butterfly" because of her bloodburst looking like butterfly wings, but as she grew older she chose the name "Defect" as a self-depreciating poke at her numerous personal flaws. She responds to "Punk" as well, but Defect is the name she uses most. She views herself as a "walking disaster" due to her anger issues and her tendency to get into trouble, and figures that calling herself a "defect" makes sense because of that. Defect gets attached to people very, very quickly. She has Borderline Personality Disorder and she honestly has no idea how to deal with it; if she feels like she's being left out or abandoned by someone she's fond of, she starts lashing out and yelling and generally acting angry and desperate. She's actually super lonely and just wants a friend that won't suddenly bail on her, but with how she acts when her mental illness starts flaring up people avoid her. She's very childish and likes making a mess of things on purpose, and then gets mad at herself afterwards. She's got a lot of problems and no idea how to solve them.
