Trailing
Examples
Basics
Trailing is a marking that creates a horizontal stripe along the ketucari's sides, often beginning at the eye.
In your ketucari's genotype, trailing is denoted by the letters "nTr" (heterozygous) or "TrTr" (homozygous).
In its heterozygous form, trailing has a pass rate of 30%. Homozygous trailing has a 55% pass rate.

Color
Trailing can be a lighter or darker color of your chosen base, with a minor deviation in hue. It can also be a fully desaturated color of the base, as long as it is lighter. Trailing may never be pure white or pure black.
These colors would be acceptable for this base color. They are either a lighter, darker, or desaturated version of the base. Notice that this small change is not overbearing.
Range
There is no minimum for trailing, but it must always be visible (unless a white marking covers it).
Heterozygous trailing can be found in the green area on the below ketucari; homozygous trailing can take up any of the green or blue areas.
Interaction with Other Markings
All markings can be layered under or over trailing.
Trailing may be affected by inferno and vapor.
Trailing may be affected by inferno and vapor.
When a ketucari possesses both trailing and ray, trailing may have a lighter border. This can be a partial border, and may be soft or hard edged:
When a ketucari possesses both trailing and strand, trailing may split into separate strands, as seen below. None of these may be so small as to be confused with barring or spotting, however:
Accents
Trailing may have a subtle gradient, as seen below.
Trailing may break apart into sections of varying length, but each section must be long enough to not be mistaken with markings such as spotting.
The edges of trailing may be textured. However, it should not create 'tendrils' that may resemble other markings, such as striping or lacing. This texturing should never reach the ketucari's topline. This marking should never posses 'holes'.
