Trinkets

• Trinkets are an optional accessory to your Ketucari!

• Can not cover more than 50% of the ketucari.

•  Come in two sizes, Small and Large. Small allows for 2 small items, while Large allows for much bigger items

• May not cover up all of a marking or mimic a gene (add feathers etc), and must be obvious Trinkets and not mutations.

 • Trinkets may not be applied before the design is uploaded and accepted! Please apply your trinkets through the Apply an Item Thread.

Small Trinkets should remain 'small' and should not exceed the size of a necklace. Large trinkets allow for more size ranges but may not cover more than 50% of the ketucari

Exalted Trinkets

Every so often an Exalted Trinket will be found on a ketucari. These trinkets are specifically for contest or reward ketucari or extremely rarely through fundraiser events. These trinkets allow for larger and more elaborate items to be added to the ketucari such as butterfly wings.
Once applied, Exalted trinkets cannot be changed or removed from the ketucari.

Good examples of such an item can be seen here:

Sometimes Exalted Trinkets may grant special skills, instead of being larger or more elaborate.

This skill should be purely cosmetic, such as granting an additional form to the ketucari. It should not meaningfully affect gameplay. It should not affect Stats or modify a ketucari's markings or breedings in any way.

A good example of such a skill is this ketucari's selkie coat.

Player Made Exalted Trinkets

So you've purchased a free-form Exalted Trinket from a sale, or won one from a raffle. First off, congratulations! Second, you're going to want to learn the rules about these things because while they are incredibly open, you do gotta be careful with them.

Things that Exalted Trinkets can do:

  • Mimic Elemental Blessings
  • Transform limbs of a ketucari to something else, covering up to 30% of the ketucari (example: Sans)
  • Give a ketucari physical traits they would not otherwise have, such as wings
  • If not a physical part of the ketucari can cover up to 75% of the ketucari.
  • "Replace" part of your ketucari with something like plants or lava.
  • Give your ketucari Familiars such as a flock of crows.

Things that Exalted Trinkets CANNOT Do:

  • Change or mask your ketucari's build. Your Danuoc should still be immediately recognizeable as a Danuoc.
  • Change or mask your ketucari's feather type. Your phoenix's oozing lava replacing its feathers should still be recognizeable phoenix feathers.
  • Hybridize your ketucari with another exisitng subtype. You cannot, unfortunately, make your dream Garoch/Danuoc hybrid.
  • Make fully custom lineart.
  • Change your ketucari's physique. You cannot make your standard fat or your garoch skinny, or put a standard's head on a garoch's body.
  • Make your ketucari not a ketucari.
  • Extend limbs or digits. While these sorts of differences are sometimes allowed in art, they are NOT allowed on import.
  • Change your ketucari's expression, open their mouth, or change their pose.

"how do I get a skill with my exalted trinket?"

Your trinket must meet the following requirements:

  1. It cannot physically be part of your ketucari
  2. It must be visibly ""unnatural"" in some way (e.g. the shimmer on Jolly's coat)
  3. And when you submit your ketucari with the Exalted Trinket, you must state what you want the unique skill to be. This skill MUST be related to the trinket (e.g. again, Jolly has a selkie coat, and their special skill is they can specifically turn into a seal).
  4. The skill must be something Cosmetic but cannot impact stats, markings, or breeding.
  5. MAY be able to break "normal" transformation rules. If your exalted trinket puts your ketucari in a magical fox coat for example, perhaps the skill allows the fox form to not be nearly-identical to your neon green ketucari. Or perhaps your ketucari's trinket allows them to have a crocodile tail on their akadri form.
  6. The skill cannot be purely "Flavor". If the skill is that your ketucari can now Breathe Fire that is not a viable use of the exalted trinket that's just fun flavor lore and has no mechanical benefit.
