 Basics

• Vitiligo is the progressive loss of pigmentation in the ketucari's skin and feathers. It is random, with a patchy/spotty appearance.
In your ketucari's genotype, vitiligo is denoted by the letters "nVt" (heterozygous) or "VtVt" (homozygous).
• In its heterozygous form, vitiligo has a pass rate of 25%. Homozygous vitiligo has a 50% pass rate.

Color and Shape

Vitiligo is always pure white. The shape of vitiligo can vary widely. The main thing to note is that it should always be irregular in shape. Here are a few examples of vitiligo shapes to give you inspiration:

Range

Vitiligo can appear anywhere on the body. It has no minimum or maximum range, but must be immediately noticeable in the design. Be sure it appears somewhere minimal white cannot, so that the two are distinguishable. Also, make sure to make it distuishable from mottling if the ketucari has both genes.

Interaction with Other Markings

• Vitiligo covers all markings.
