Located in the highland of Leto, the Ilahaesa Mountains are a dangerous, barren wilderness that is only home to the hardiest of beasts. Though an unfriendly environment, it is often the travel destination of pilgrims looking to pay their respects to Asli and to collect water from the magical springs hidden throughout the range.

Subzones

These subzones may be claimed by packs!
The Everfrost
The harshest region of the mountains is plagued by a constant, brutal snowstorm. This is where Kalet banished herself to learn to control herself as a draugen-wight, the disorienting winds deterring her from getting out and attacking someone. So few people venture here that its resources are virtually untouched.

Hanebul's Table
A relic of a great war past, this curious valley is peppered with gigantic statues resembling gods, various warlords, and other historical figures. Deep grooves have been carved into the land between them, almost in a chess table pattern. It is said the Judges once used this land to plan battles.

Severed Peak
This mountain is recognizable because it appears to have been cut clean through by a great blade. A smaller, out of place section of rock sits at its foot, rumored to be its other half. Legend has it that this is where Asli and Anti's first battle took place.

Vitia
The side of Mount Vitian opposite to the Hallowed Tarn used to be home to a small but lavish town reminiscent of ancient Greek architecture. Those who lived here were a proud people, happy to proclaim that they lived near such holy ground. It is unclear which, but at least one god was deeply offended by their pomp and made it their personal mission to leave the town in ruins.

Moon River
Flowing from the same waters at the Hallowed Tarn, the Moon River comes from deep within the mountains. Its water is so clear and gently flowing that you can watch the moon rise off its surface. This river flows into Silverglade.

Domain Guardian: kalet

Kalet is one of the four Judges who serve Asli. True to her feline appearance, she is feisty and fiercely independent. Where her comrade Hel inflicts agony on those with negative karma, Kalet is the guardian deity of those with exceptionally good karma. In her down time, Kalet stalks the Ilahaesa Mountains and lives a virtually wild lifestyle. She is rarely seen but often felt, watching those who pass through to ensure their intentions aren't malevolent.

 Meesha 285 by Matriarchs-Haunt
Meesha says:
"So, you finally started learning the skills that pay the bills, huh? Rad! I've got the perfect way for you to test out your gliding. See that ravine down below? Apparently, there's some sort of forged rock elemental down there that's been setting off some impressive rock slides. It wouldn't be a problem except for that route's the only one through these mountains. My guess is some competing merchants got into a tiff and paid off a rogue Lucedarian to create the thing to block the route. Every forged elemental's got a weak spot, usually a magic-imbued talisman at the center of their body. Your job will be to glide down into the ravine and locate the forged elemental, then rip out its heart. It won't be as easy as it sounds, especially with some gnarly weather approaching. Your gliding will also come in handy when it starts flinging boulders at you. On the plus side, the ravine tends to get pretty drafty so you'll have some winds to use to your advantage. Good luck, you're gonna need it!"

Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Vial of Blood, 5 Heavy Bone, 1 Binding Reagent

Depict your ketucari using their gliding ability to get into the ravine or to battle the forged elemental.

Kalet says:
"If you want to hunt and wander around my domain, you had better show your respect and prove to me that you are on my side. I will let you pass if you get rid of some ill-disposed trespassers  that are hiding around these mountains. They have brought reinforcements so they may not be as easy to take down. I see you are interested in Talik magic, maybe you can make some use of the upcoming storm."

Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Vial of Blood, 5 Heavy Bone, 1 Binding Reagent

Honor Path
• Depict your ketucari taking a powerful blast of energy from the raging storm and throwing it over the intruders to destroy their camp, but not  strong enough to kill them. You can be creative about the reinforcements they brought, whether they be war machines, forged elementals, or magicians, etc.

Notoriety Path
• Depict your ketucari taking a powerful blast of energy from the raging storm and throwing it over the intruders, maybe even provoking an avalanche, destroying everything and everyone. You can be creative about the reinforcements they brought, whether they be war machines, forged elementals, or magicians, etc.

 Sirahn 11 by Matriarchs-Haunt
Sirahn says:
"I'm afraid that my arrogance has finally caught up with me... I see that now, and I'm not so dense as to deny it. One of Anti's minions managed to hit me with some sort of blight that is sapping my strength. Rumors have led me here in hopes of a cure: the blood of a divine beast that lives in these mountains. It's powerful and has restorative qualities. But alas... I've come so close only to have no energy left to see my task to the end. What's more, the companions I brought with me to help me down the creature met an unforunate end thanks to Hyperion when we were passing through Leto to get here. The beast will take more than one of us to kill. Seek the creature out and bleed it just enough to fill this vial. Return to me and if-- no, when I am healed, I will help you go back and kill the thing so that you may do what you will with the body. It's bound to be worth a fortune."

Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Vial of Blood, 5 Heavy Bone, 1 Binding Reagent

Depict your ketucari battling and bleeding the creature in the Ilahaesa Mountains. You may take artistic liberties when deciding what the creature looks like, or you may use Kalet as a substitute.

 Ryntan 277 by Matriarchs-Haunt
Ryntan says:
"Many centuries ago, before the war against the machine god Aterrin, people were far more widespread in this region. Many of them were chased away to the coast by the gods for threatening this holy land's sanctity. It is said that in the chaos to escape the gods' wrath, the great trade city of Rankala was abandoned in one night and left to the mercy of this mountain range's unforgiving weather. It was built into the mountains, but after all these years of neglect it can be extremely hard to see. Few have been able to locate it, but if you have the grit for such an expedition then it wouldn't hurt to try."

Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
Tranquil Charm x2, Large Trinket

Depict your ketucari discovering the ruined city of Rankala, and/or exploring it. You may take artistic liberties with the city's appearance and what your ketucari finds there.
