Subzones
These subzones may be claimed by packs!
This is one the largest abandoned mines in the Highland. Stripped of all its resources but well-cultivated and more stable than most other mines, this may just make a good shelter.
The Burning Veins
This area is dense in lava rivers that are constantly on the move over its craggy surface. Being that it's difficult to navigate, treasure seekers would have the most luck scouting this patch of land.
Dunhel Caldera
Known for being the main stomping ground of the fearsome god Hel, this caldera is not for the faint of heart. Crevices that lead to smoke-filled caves are everywhere. At the center of the caldera is an eternally active lava pit. Though the smoke is too heavy for one to make out any forms, screams can be heard rising from the pit-- screams of thirteen of Anti's original constructs that Hel has trapped there.
The Iron Graveyard
The remains of excavating machinery and tanks litter this area, some beginning to sink into lava pits that have opened up beneath them. These broken down machines have been left behind by miners who didn't want to waste the effort hauling them back home after they'd served their purpose.
Acrid Flats
This blackened wasteland is full of sulfur geysers and hidden caves just waiting to be discovered. But Holy Hel, it really stinks.

Quests
tank burger
Required Armor: 1200
This quest may only be completed by ketucari pursuing the Greheli attunement.
Blackheart says:
"One of the companies that mines the Highland hired us on to protect their workers from a powerful new crime ring that's been gunning for their goods. Everything was going well until those blasted thieves got their hands on some old Akadri war machines! They're using them to block us in this mine right now. One step out in the open and we'll take a particle-beam straight to the face! The outer armor of the machines are anti-magic, but it's possible to direct your magic into the things' joints or underneath them. If you can stop some of their moving parts, something's bound to blow up! I'll provide a distraction, you use the rock formations at the mine entrance to sneak around and get a good view of any weak spots in those tanks. Then bust those damned things for good! GO!"
Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Mithril Ore, 5 Random Toresul, 5 Dragon's Claw
Stop Skill (Optional)
Depict your ketucari using their gravity magic to stop the moving parts on the tanks and cause them to explode.
Hel on earth
Required Armor: 1200
This quest may only be completed by ketucari pursuing the Talik attunement.
Hel says:
"Grrrreat. The last thing I needed was to deal with one of your kind on my day off. What, thought you could sneak into my home and off me all by yourself? Well, how'd that work out for ya now that I've got ya by the short and curlies? Meh, you know what? I'm not even in the mood to deal with you. I got stuff to do. Things. I'll just toss ya over there and if you can get yourself outta here, then you deserve to live."
Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Mithril Ore, 5 Random Toresul, 5 Dragon's Claw
Rift Skill (Optional)
Oops! Hel has tossed your ketucari into one of the farthest, most dangerous reaches of his territory! Depict your ketucari creating and/or jumping through rift portals to avoid falling from the unstable moving ground into the lava and the sudden eruptions of boiling gases.
it's a little toasty in here
Required Armor: 1200
This quest may only be completed by ketucari pursuing the Dasrah attunement.
Hara says:
"Have you heard about that pickle that Blackheart's group found themselves in with those tanks? I should hope so, because now it's up to us to clean up the last of that criminal riffraff! Our scouts have spotted their men moving up one of the old dried-up lava channels toward the mine's back entrance. They're heavily armed and with the canyon flanking them on both sides, it'd be foolish to try and pick them off with so little room for an ambush. Blackheart and her people have cooked up a rockslide farther down the channel so that those ruffians will have to take a narrower route that leads straight down into the Dunhel Caldera. Not the best place for a fight what with Hel at our backs, but it's better than funneling ourselves into that canyon! On the brightside, we can use some of the gases coming up from Hel's lair to ignite those suckers as soon as they enter the caldera. Just be careful... with so many vents around the terrain, if you make one wrong move, you'll blow up one of our allies as well."
Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
5 Mithril Ore, 5 Random Toresul, 5 Dragon's Claw
Detonate Skill (Optional)
Honor Path
• Depict your ketucari using the rising gases in the caldera to set off a chain of explosions with which to combat the enemy forces, their careful control of their magic ensuring that no one on their side gets injured.
Notoriety Path
• Depict your ketucari using the rising gases in the caldera to set off a chain of explosions with which to combat the enemy forces, their volatile magic causing a greater blast than anticipated and taking out one of their allies in the process.
Divine Delicacy
Required Armor: 1200
This quest may only be completed by elder ketucari.
Kamala says:
"It seems Hel has forged himself some new guardians. Quite a few people around here have reported engaging in battle with forged elementals made of lava rock, flame, and magma around the entrance to Hel's lair. They aren't causing a problem unless you're trying to raid Hel's keep, but I've found they're worth killing for another reason. You've heard that forged elementals are held together by a magic item at their core, yes? Well, as these were created by a god and not a mortal wizard, their cores are a bit... different. If you manage to bring down one of the forged elementals, try eating its heart. If it doesn't kill you, its power imbued in it by Hel will spread through your being."
Quest Rewards:
20 Gold
Volatile Potion, Gourmet Candy x5
Juggernaut Skill (Optional)
Depict your ketucari either battling one of the forged elementals or eating the forged elemental's heart to tap in to its power.
