The Inner You

Category: Elder Isle

Details

This island holds great power. Here, a ketucari may, once in their life, make a radical change to their form, and change from the Build they were born as, to a different Build.

Before continuing, you should be aware that this comes with a cost:

-10 to all stats, including armor (unless it brings the armor under 50, in which case it stops dropping at 50)

If you still wish to proceed with changing your "Build", here is how:

Step One: Gathering 5 Sacred Items

On the adventure page, under the "venture" category, you will see that your ketucari has the opportunity to find sacred items that can be offered to the gods in order to win their favor. These items can also drop from battles in each zone. If five different sacred items are gathered and brought to Elder Isle, a ketucari may change their build.

Beginner Zones contain runestones, prism scales, vials of ichor, hibridi effigies, tainted crystals, essences of faith, draconid fossils, unknown tomes, soulseeds, and pulsing amulets.

Medium Zones contain king's blood, Letonian wheat, soul prisons, bloodoath insiginias, luminescent insignias, sacred fruit, fragments of Oreki's orb, ancestral relics, aged wine, and mysterious statuettes.

Harsh Zones contain legendary hides, golem cores, ornate eggs, blooms of divinity, Lucedarian silk, enemy heads, automaton parts, binding ink, canopic jars, and ceremonial swords.

Step Two:

There are three quests you must do in order to be able to change your ketucari's build

  • You must depict your ketucari interacting with a Starter or a player-owned Elder of your Current Build. Standard group requirements apply.
  • You must depict your ketucari interacting with a Starter or player-owned Elder of your Desired Build. Standard group requirements apply.
  • You must depict your ketucari offering their Sacred Items to the God of, or an Elder of, your Desired Build. Standard group requirements apply.

Step Three:

Update the import through the Redesign thread with a link to your quest chain as proof. If your ketucari's design changes by more than is strictly required by the desired build's import differences, you may need a redesign token as well.

These must be done separately, however they may all be one on one "page" as long as each piece is clearly separate from the others. Post them >Here< when you have all three ready!

Rules:

  • You cannot change your ketucari's build more than once in their life. Be Very certain that this is going to be their final form.
  • A player may only build-change one ketucari every six months.
  • You may commission these pieces!
  • All five items must be gathered by the same ketucari, the one who is trying to change their build. These means it will require five adventure pieces at minimum.
  • You cannot change your ketucari to a Newly Released Build until 3 months have passed since the new Build was made publicly available.
  • Your Ketucari does NOT have to be an Elder to have their form changed.

When you are done, fill out the form below and place it in the artist's description and submit your entry to the "Quests" folder in the group gallery, as well as responding to this prompt. Upon being processed, the items will be taken from your hoard and you will be free to update your ketucari's import to their desired Build whenever you're ready. Their import information and Genotype will not be updated until their redesign is accepted!

Elemental Blessing

Category: Hallowed Tarn

(Can be submitted to once per week)

Details

The Tarn is also a place where your ketucari may receive an elemental blessing. At the moment, the prize for fulfilling one of these prompts is purely cosmetic. Additional bonuses/skills in the future are possible, but not set in stone. What is an elemental blessing, you ask? This is a physical sign that your ketucari has been blessed by a god and received a special power as a result. While these provide no in-game bonuses, you may have fun with what your ketucari does with their powers in their personal story.

Successfully completing a prompt for an elemental blessing will allow you to add elemental accents to your ketucari's import sheet. You can see an example of this with Aiesa 628, who has the nature essence of ice:

Aiesa 628 by Matriarchs-Haunt

Once your ketucari has earned a blessing for a particular element, you will be able to add the accents pertaining to the element to their import. The rules for this are fairly loose. These accents can be things such as turning your ketucari's horns or eyes into that element or (if they've chosen fire) adding flames around their wrists, for example. Another example would be to have moss or flowers growing from the back of a ketucari with the plant blessing. The only rules for this are that 1) the accents may not resemble a marking and 2) the accents may not cover more than 25% of the body

Physical mutations and items that represent the element are fine, but should have the actual element on them to avoid being confused with other genes and items - eg. aquatic fauna for Water can have water or bubbles on them, or be made of water - this avoids overlap with Pet Licence.
These mutations should still not mimic genes the ket does not have.

Rules for prompts:
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhatKetucari must have at least 600 Armor before they can complete a prompt.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat An individual ketucari may only complete one prompt and receive one blessing.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat  Submissions should meet our minimum submission requirements, found HERE.

When the prompt is complete, fill out the form below and place it in the Ketucari.com comments and submit your entry to this prompt on site. Once it is processed, it will be linked on the ketucari's import. You will then be free to add the accents to your ketucari's import and submit it for updating at the Hoard, using the prompt completion admin comment as proof.

Resurrection

Category: Hallowed Tarn

(Can be submitted to once every three months)

Details

The Tarn can also be used to bring a dead cub back to life. This applies to cubs in litters bred by you who were killed by a matriarch or were stillborn due an inbreeding penalty. Keep in mind that this is not meant to be easy as it would negate the consequences of these risks. As well, cub resurrection is meant to be another opportunity for your ketucari's story to build, and thus requires a lot of work so as to offer a sizable arc to their tale.

Before continuing, you should be aware that resurrected cubs have penalties that regular cubs do not have. They are:

Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat 5 less breeding slots than regular ketucari
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat -10 to all stats (this does not stack with the inbreeding penalty stat reduction)

If you still wish to proceed with resurrecting a cub, there are two ways to do this.

Method One: Gathering Sacred Items

On the adventure page, under the "venture" category, you will see that your ketucari has the opportunity to find sacred items that can be offered to the gods in order to win their favor. These items can also drop from battles in each zone. If ten different sacred items are gathered and placed in the tarn's waters along with the cub's remains, the cub will be brought back to life. Here are the items and which zones they are found in:

Beginner Difficulty contains runestones, prism scales, vials of ichor, hibridi effigies, tainted crystals, essences of faith, draconid fossils, unknown tomes, soulseeds, and pulsing amulets.

Medium Difficulty contains king's blood, Letonian wheat, soul prisons, bloodoath insiginias, luminescent insignias, sacred fruit, fragments of Oreki's orb, ancestral relics, aged wine, and mysterious statuettes.

Harsh Difficulty contains legendary hides, forged elemental cores, ornate eggs, blooms of divinity, Lucedarian silk, enemy heads, automaton parts, binding ink, canopic jars, and ceremonial swords.

Rules:
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat The litter the dead cub is in must have been bred by you. You are not allowed to sell dead cubs unless they have been brought back to life by you, the breeder.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat A player may only revive one cub every three months.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat In litters with multiple dead cubs, only one cub total can be resurrected from the litter. Meaning, if you resurrect one cub, no other cubs can be revived from that same litter.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat You may not make deals with other players for dead cubs. They must be resurrected by the breeder before any deals are made. If you choose to go around this rule and the deal does not work out, the group cannot help you as these deals are against our rules.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat All ten items must be gathered by the same ketucari, the one who is trying to resurrect the cub. These means it will require ten adventure pieces at minimum if you are lucky and do not get duplicate items. Remember that all ten items must be different. Your best bet is to adventure in different zone difficulties (all of which have 10 different items) to minimize your chance of duplicates.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat When your ketucari has gathered all ten items, create an art or literature piece that shows your ketucari delivering the items and the cub's remains to the tarn. Submissions should meet our minimum submission requirements, found HERE.

When you are done, fill out the form below and place it in the Ketucari.com site comment. Submit your entry to this prompt on site. Upon being processed, the items will be marked as used and a comment will be placed on the litter saying that the cub has been revived.

Method Two: The Ultimate Sacrifice

This method is more grisly than the first, but yields the same results. In this method, one ketucari's life will be exchanged for the life of the cub.

Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat You must be prepared to sacrifice an existing ketucari. This means that, in order to revive the cub, you will have to permanently kill off one of your own ketucari. It can be the parent (if you own them) or another ketucari of yours. After this, the ketucari will officially be declared deceased and can no longer be used in the group.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat To keep the effort of this method in line with the effort required for the first method, the ketucari to be sacrificed must have at least 10 activity pieces done and rolled before they can be used in the sacrifice.
Tiny Grey Bullet FTU by OwlKhat When you are ready, create a piece that shows a) your ketucari sacrificing the other to the tarn's waters or b) the ketucari to be sacrificed willingly giving their life for the cub's. Submissions should meet our minimum submission requirements, found HERE.

When you are done, fill out the form below and place it in the Ketucari.com site comment. Submit your entry to this prompt on site. Upon being processed, the sacrificed ketucari will be declared deceased and a comment will be placed on the litter saying that the cub has been revived.
