Fondue

Basics

Color and Shape (Standalone)
Fondue can be hard or have a slightly blended edge, but must not be so blended that it resembles sable. It should have a "drippy" appearance that appears to ooze down the ket's side, following gravity. It may optionally have a localized shine effect on the marking. It may alternative restrict to another marking. Please see the Modifying section for details on that. Fondue may have up to 4 "breaks" along the spine.
Fondue may be a lighter or darker shade of your of your chosen base, with a minor deviation in hue. It may have a subtle gradient within its chosen light/dark direction as well.
Fondue can have a shine added as if it were a real drizzle.
Homozygous (FoeFoe) Fondue may have a more intense gradient even going from lighter-than-base to darker than base.
These colors would be acceptable for this base color. The last hues are both hue-shifted, but work naturally with the base coat.
Color and Shape (Modifying)
Fondue may instead restrict to another marking. When it does this it should make the marking look like it's dripping. When acting as an edge modifier, it follows the color rules and relative range of whatever marking it's attached to. Up to 50% of the drips can go past the interacted markings "typical" range. Fondue's optional shine may also be added during interactions.
Fondue restricted to Mantle.
Soft edged marking must "fade" into being harder edged towards the edge of a drip. When affecting a soft edged marking, the "drips" should harden the closer they get to the bottom:
(Here is Fondue restricted to Sable)
When affecting a belly marking such as washout or void it it may cut out/erase from their upper most edge. These drips should not go more than halfway through the marking.
In its Homozygous form, Fondue allows the top edge on most markings and the bottom edge on belly markings to drip.
Range
Range for fondue. Blue is the maximum while green is the minimum.
Below is the maximum and minimum drip width:
Fondue may have up to 4 "break" in the spine. You can see an example of such a break in this colorized fondue, at the withers.
Interaction with Other Markings
All markings can be layered under or over fondue.
Fondue can be affected by Segment, Colorize, Morpho, Vapor, Jovian, Shatter, Empty, Halos. This can happen even when it's modifying another marking.
Fondue can restrict to the following markings: Frill, Halos, Mantle, Sable, Shell, Vapor, Tarpit, Washout, Mud, Pangare, Void, Dusted, Skink, Streak, Trailing, Spaulder, Chaps, Girin, Koi, Piebald, Oil, Stamped, Ray, Wave.
Fondue can be affected by Segment, Colorize, Morpho, Vapor. This can happen even when it's modifying another marking.
Hood
Fondue has a special interaction with Hood in that it creates drippy cut-outs in the hood, revealing markings and the base coat underneat.
Accents
Here are some small accents you can add to your designs to make them more unique!
• Fondue may have a subtle gradient, like the mantle below:
