Overcast
Examples
Basics
Overcast creates smokey patches.
In your ketucari's genotype, overcast is denoted by the letters "nOrc" (heterozygous) or "OrcOrc" (homozygous).
In its heterozygous form, overcast has a pass rate of 40%. Homozygous overcast has a 65% pass rate.

Color and Shape
Color:
Overcast can be a lighter or darker color of your chosen base, with a minor deviation in hue. It can also be a fully desaturated color of the base, as long as it is lighter. Trailing may never be pure white or pure black. These colors would be acceptable for this base color. They are either a lighter, darker, or desaturated version of the base. Notice that this small change is not overbearing.
Overcast will create 'cloudy' patches across the base coat. Shape wise, it must always be soft edged and irregular but not 'spotty'. They should have a sort of 'natural pattern' and be very dense like an 'overcast' sky. They are often a combination of 'strands and spots' and not a single patch like in Charring or Bleaching.
Range
Overcast can appear anywhere on the body. It has no minimum or maximum range, but must be immediately noticeable in the design.
Interaction with Other Markings
All markings can be layered under or over Overcast.
Keep in mind that, like many other markings, Overcast can change color where it overlaps with colorful markings such as frill and hued points.
Spots can be influenced by inferno, vapor, rust and segment.
If a ketucari has both marbling and overcast, it may take on a design similar to clouded leopards with large rosettes of either lighter or darker than base coat color
