Relationships
Relatives: Zadehdin (mother), Duhhak (father, deceased), Knite (mate), Veldon, Neretu, numerous others (children with Knite)
Zadehdin: Garoch does not remember much about his biological mother, even though he was much loved by her before he became a deity. Zadehdin's attempts to connect with him after he was made a god disturbed him greatly and he prefers to avoid her.
Knite: Knite is a mustelid dragon that Garoch met while he and some of his fellow gods were forced to visit other planets in search of Asli's mother Oreki. Garoch and his salamanders were grounded on Knite's home planet for some time after being knocked to the surface by the planet's main god Avaerius. Both injured and initially wary of each other, Knite and Garoch were forced to share space as they healed and bonded with each other as a result. Garoch later brought her back to Velukaelo with him after gods from both worlds entered an alliance and opened a bridge between them.
Saoirse: Though Saoirse and Garoch are natural opposites and keep out of each other's territory, they do have an amicable relationship. They respect each other's duties and consider each other to be on the same side.
Notable Relationships
Hyperion: Hyperion knew the god of destruction, Garoch, before his deification and had a crucial part in Garoch's ascendance. The two shared a bond of close friends before and during one of Anti's scourges. The son of the construct Zadehdin and the old god of destruction Duhhak, Garoch was a powerful demi-god who fought alongside Hyperion against Anti's army. Near the end of the scourge, Garoch was mortally wounded while protecting Hyperion, even sustaining such great damage to his soul that he nearly faded out of existence entirely. Hyperion joined forces with Duhhak to save what was left of Garoch. Using the fragments of the soul of his own deceased infant son, Hyperion was able to mend Garoch's soul enough to keep him from disappearing. Duhhak provided the energy needed for this feat by sacrificing himself, also thereby passing on his rank and powers to his son as a result. Though Garoch was saved, the unconventional method by which this was accomplished robbed him of most of his memories-- including those of his adventures with Hyperion. Hyperion and Garoch still maintain an amicable relationship, though it nowhere near what it used to be.Zadehdin: Garoch does not remember much about his biological mother, even though he was much loved by her before he became a deity. Personality
Alignment: Neutral good (Neutral)
Personality: Garoch is an immensely shy and defensive individual. He takes his duty to his salamanders very seriously. He rarely gives strangers a chance to prove that they mean no harm and has an "attack first, ask questions later" mentality. This is because so many have come to Salamander Island with malicious intent that he no longer takes chances. To the few who are close to him, he is known to be a gentle giant.

History
Garoch is Velukaelo's god of destruction, counterpart to the goddess of life Saoirse. He is one of the largest gods in the pantheon, so immense that he has to use greheli just to move. Garoch spends most of his time on Salamander Island guarding small, dragonlike fire spirits known as salamanders. Every now and then, he and the salamanders leave the island and go to burn expanses of land on the main continents. While this inevitably leads to loss of life and property damage, most actually see Garoch's destruction as a necessary force of nature that helps pave the way for new life. Few rise to challenge this shy and reclusive deity, and those who do rarely survive.
When not on the attack, Garoch can be found napping on the beach or swimming in the pristine waters surrounding his island with his mate and their family. Garoch keeps a low-gravity field close to his body at all times due to his huge stature, so it isn't unusual to see objects rising off the ground around him.
