History
Ghatri and his littermates Hijau and Grute were born some time after the Machine War to the goddess Zarakali and her mate Aizak, who hailed from another planet. Growing up in Zara's expansive temple, Ghatri had everything he wanted at his disposal. His parents, though not neglectful, allowed he and his siblings a long leash with which to make their own mistakes and learn from them. For Ghatri, this meant experimenting with the variety of psychoactive drugs and high-quality wine his parents liked to surround themselves with from a very young age. While this sort of upbringing had every opportunity to ruin him (though no one dared tell Zarakali that), it did not. Always a people person, Ghatri was quick to make friends through tagging along with his parents wherever they went as well as interacting with devotees of his mother's. From the most esteemed shaman to the most raggedy of his mother's "hippie" disciples, Ghatri loved spending time among people, listening to their stories while enjoying a good group smoke. He was quick to learn the skills that made him likeable and empathetic, and even as a child he was easily accepting of others.
As Ghatri grew older and left home, the good times seemed to follow him no matter where he went. He became widely known for his gatherings and found that, as much as he himself liked to have fun, he also liked to provide an atmosphere where other people could forget their woes as well. For Ghatri, parties aren't just about self-enjoyment, they're about learning the stories of other people and forming uninhibited connections with them. He has had a great many experiences through his travels and those who speak to him for any length of time find that, under his carefree exterior, there is a very wise and deep-minded individual. Though Ghatri is almost always in an altered state, he has learned to function quite normally. He also loves trying out vintage wines.
