Relationships
Relatives: Lycoris (current mate), numerous children (with Lycoris), Unknown (previous mate, deceased), two unnamed children (with unknown, deceased), Saoirse (mate prior to her divine ascendance), unnamed son (with Saoirse, deceased), Okianus and Cronus (brothers), Zarakali (sister)
Saoirse: Saoirse, the goddess of life, was Hyperion's human mate prior to her deification. She and their infant son were nearly destroyed by Zarakali when she sided with Anti during a scourge and Hyperion was unable to protect them due to his weakened state. Afterward, a grief stricken Hyperion appealed to Asli to have her preserved as a deity. Feeling somewhat responsible for the events that led to Saoirse's death, Asli complied with the warning that Zarakali had done irreparable damage and that Saoirse would not be the same. Hyperion insisted that he didn't care, but when Saoirse was reborn in her new form he discovered that she was in fact painfully different than she was before. He chose to distance himself from her and allow her to build a new life for herself, not wishing to make her feel obligated to him due their previous relationship. Although the two are allies, Hyperion tends to avoid Saoirse and keeps necessary interactions with her as brief as possible.
Duhhak: Hyperion had a friendly relationship with the now deceased god of destruction, who was also the father of his best friend Garoch. Hyperion was one of the few deities who did not quarrel with Duhhak over his romance with the construct Zadehdin.
Zadehdin: Hyperion has a rocky relationship with the mother of his best friend Garoch. Though they were never quite friends, Zadehdin appreciated the fact that he did not condemn her relationship with Duhhak. However, she later blamed Hyperion for "mutilating" Garoch's memories and nature as well as for Duhhak's death after the steps that were taken to save Garoch. Having experienced his fair share of loss, Hyperion harbors only the deepest respect and sympathy for Zadehdin, who has frequently made him a target of her vengeance. She considers him an enemy and antagonizes him at any chance she gets.
Okianus: Hyperion has a relationship with his fellow titan Okianus that borders on indifference. As Okianus is a bringer of balance and neutrality as a medium between Hyperion's good nature and Cronus' malevolent one, the two have the tendency to not see eye to eye. Though they don't purposely harass each other, Hyperion is sometimes annoyed by his brother's apathetic attitude when it comes to matters of right and wrong. Hyperion views Okianus as being immature and somewhat selfish due his tendency to sit back and not intervene in potentially catastrophic events. There have, however, been rare instances in which Hyperion has been able to rouse Okianus from his lassitude and convinced him to act. Generally, the two tend to ignore each other.
Cronus: As polar opposites in their morals and personalities, Hyperion and Cronus are nearly always at odds with each other. Both being creations of Asli, however, they are often forced to work together and have thus learned to at least feign tolerance. Their relationship has become more tense since the last scourge, during which Cronus temporarily aided Anti. Since then, Hyperion has little faith that Cronus has any capacity for good at all.
Zarakali: As the anchor that binds her brothers to the physical world, Zarakali is an essential part of Hyperion's life. This does not prevent them from harboring a mutual dislike. Created by Asli after her predecessor died, Zarakali was treated like an annoying little sister in her youth by the older titans. Hyperion in particular was apprehensive toward her, finding that her abrasive personality left something to be desired when compared to her forebear. As it turned out, Hyperion was right to be wary of her. Feeling that she was being held back and deserved more power than what she had, Zarakali used her abilities to weaken the titans when she sided with Anti during a scourge. She was singly responsible for the fate of Saoirse and her son, a crime for which she has never shown regret. Zarakali was eventually defeated and imprisoned by the titans. Against Hyperion's wishes, she was later released from her prison on the condition that her powers would be severely limited until she matured and could be trusted not to abuse them. Hyperion has never forgiven Zarakali for her betrayal, though he does force himself to tolerate her. She, on the other hand, loves that her existence bothers him and frequently harasses him with her malicious tricks.
Lycoris: Lycoris is Hyperion's current mate and the mother of all of his living children. She is a moon goddess not of Velukaelo's pantheon, met when Hyperion and some of his fellow gods were forced to visit other planets in search of Asli's mother Oreki. Lycoris managed to overcome Hyperion's shy, humble demeanor and got him to open up about his difficult past. Though they are duty-bound to different worlds, Lycoris and Hyperion spend every free moment with each other.
Notable Relationships
Garoch: Hyperion knew the god of destruction, Garoch, before his deification and had a crucial part in Garoch's ascendance. The two shared a bond of close friends before and during one of Anti's scourges. The son of the construct Zadehdin and the old god of destruction Duhhak, Garoch was a powerful demi-god who fought alongside Hyperion against Anti's army. Near the end of the scourge, Garoch was mortally wounded while protecting Hyperion, even sustaining such great damage to his soul that he nearly faded out of existence entirely. Hyperion joined forces with Duhhak to save what was left of Garoch. Using the fragments of the soul of his own deceased infant son, Hyperion was able to mend Garoch's soul enough to keep him from disappearing. Duhhak provided the energy needed for this feat by sacrificing himself, also thereby passing on his rank and powers to his son as a result. Though Garoch was saved, the unconventional method by which this was accomplished robbed him of most of his memories-- including those of his adventures with Hyperion. Hyperion and Garoch still maintain an amicable relationship, though it nowhere near what it used to be.Saoirse: Saoirse, the goddess of life, was Hyperion's human mate prior to her deification. She and their infant son were nearly destroyed by Zarakali when she sided with Anti during a scourge and Hyperion was unable to protect them due to his weakened state. Personality
Alignment: Lawful good (Honor)
Personality: In spite of his size and rank, Hyperion has always proven himself a humble and even shy individual. Except for when his duties force him to act, he is reclusive and prefers to stick to his own territory. Around those with whom he is unfamiliar, he is a man of few words. He can always be counted on to do the right thing, even at great personal expense. He is highly protective over his loved ones due to his experiences with loss, though not to the point that he restricts their freedom.

History
Like his brothers, Hyperion began his life as a non-corporeal entity created by Asli with the purpose of helping him make decisions for Velukaelo, the three of them forming a sort of council or external conscience. Known as the titans, the three of them are the oldest gods in Velukaelo's pantheon besides Asli and Anti and their mother Oreki. Because they were so powerful Asli created a fourth titan to keep them in check, whose power acted as an anchor that bound the three original titans to physical vessels. Hyperion had been through many vessels before discovering his current one, a man named Cade. While the two originally had separate consciousnesses, they have been together so long that their minds can no longer be differentiated between.
In times of peace Hyperion can be found in Silverglade, which he considers his land of solace. Outside of being a powerful god and warrior, Hyperion is known for his "hobby" of bringing nearly extinct animals back from the brink by keeping them safe in Silverglade until they can be returned to their natural habitats. He is particularly fond of birds and, for some reason, they of him.
