History
Naugeti and his sister Qarakarja were orphaned at a very young age when their parents, also cattle deities, were killed by ketucari for their body parts. Before making their final stand, their parents managed to hide them in the forest of Seijalka, where the dog goddess Ryno also made her home. Ryno discovered the two calves and immediately took them in, raising them as her own. Growing up in the peaceful atmosphere of Seijalka's forest, the two calves grew into well-rounded individuals who harbored no ill will toward their parents' murderers.
While his sister chose to take a slightly different path than one would expect from a bovine deity, Naugeti chose to stick to the norm and left Seijalka's forest as a teenager to find a village who needed a guardian. Like the cattle gods who came before him, Naugeti has the ability to influence crop harvests for better or worse. It didn't take him long to find a small village on the outskirts of the Plains of Messus that was struggling to produce. Though he was young and inexperienced, they were desperate enough to offer him a home and what meager offerings they had in exchange for his help. Naugeti learned to control his abilities quickly, and soon the village was flourishing. Under his protection, the land grew fertile and bountiful and more villages began to spring up in the vicinity. Though he isn't the only harvest god around, Naugeti is one of the most loved because of his refusal to abuse his power over his people. Unlike many gods, Naugeti does not hold his people under the threat of taking away their prosperity. His relationship with them is purely symbiotic and amicable and his good nature has earned the love of many people.
