History
Sef is a second generation necroform (undead warriors raised by Anti during one of his scourges). Though she appears dead, Sef, like all necroforms, is an immortal being with a living body. As necroforms were, and still are, widely feared in Velukaelo due their reputation as bloodlust-driven fiends, Sef's life was difficult from the start. Her family was constantly on the move for fear of being hunted, making the first few years of her childhood rife with fear. While passing too close to a village one day, Sef's family was spotted and swiftly pursued by villagers who thought they were responsible for the vicious killings enacted by another necroform. Sef's parents managed to stall their attackers long enough for her to escape. She didn't have to wander by herself for very long before she was found by Hanebul, a fellow necroform, who took her under his wing.
The clever and street-smart Hanebul was able to eke out a living for the two of the them, mostly because of his uncanny ability to control his hunger for flesh. Hanebul taught Sef to make use of disguises to conceal her cadaverous appearance as well as how to blend in with normal mortals. The pair found themselves living on the streets of Messus where they actually managed to keep their identities secret for years. This part of Sef and Hanebul's lives, leading up to their ascension as deities, is muddled in historical accounts.
It is rumored that Hanebul somehow got himself mixed up with the family of one of Asli's demigod children in Messus, dragging Sef into the ordeal as a result. Whatever events transpired, they found themselves in a position where they were forced to fight against Anti when he began to rise again after his last scourge. Their close association with Asli's family combined with their efforts to thwart Anti drew the attention of Asli himself, who rewarded their deeds with immortality.
Sef has been loyal to Asli ever since, fighting for him whenever she is called upon. Her godly association with death originated from her ghastly appearance as well as her efficiency on the battlefield.
