He comes from a poor family where he got thrown out early because his parents kept producing kids and couldn't take care of them, so the second he was barely capable of taking care of himself he was out the door with only the clothes on his back and a coin in his pocket that he had found that day. From there on out he started looking for work with housing. He spent a few years jumping between things and houses as work came and went. One day he came across a store selling weird antiques from 'ancient lands' as it were marketed. A lot of crap, ofc, but fun to look at nonetheless. In the back was a beautifully handcrafted lute. He came back day after day to drool over this instrument and was even allowed to try it at one time, for roughly half a minute. He saved up everything he could to get the lute after that and instantly begun spending his free time to learn it. When he became ok enough he tried playing for strangers out in the street to earn a few extra coins.
