The Duke of Eglantine. Overprepared? Perhaps a little. Overconfident? Perhaps a lot.
He plays dumb, plays the fool. He brags and boasts seemingly with little reason to, attempts to court nearly all he meets. To all appearances, he is vain, selfish, and pomous figure who despises getting his own paws dirty.
This could not be more wrong.
Desrosiers knows how to play the long game. He knows how to work a room, work the Courts, work a Kingdom into what he needs and wants. What he wants is for his beloved Eglantine to be as prosperous as it can be.  And that means he needs others to underestimate him. So he plays dumb. Plays the selfish, vain braggart. All while moving pieces across the chess board towards his goals.

That, and when one plays dumb, one is less likely to be poisoned by a rival, instead of that rival attempting to manipulate you--and thus letting you live and manipulate the board yourself.

He is an excellent--if slightly overzealous--tactitian.
Though he plays the buffoon and braggart, he is intelligent and shrewd, and more than capable of backing up his boasts. Secretive and paranoid.
Will do ANYTHING to protect, save, and serve his people, no matter the cost to himself.

Desrosiers will also be the first to make a romantic overature--often prematurely--to any kadin (or toa, or anything in between), usually within the first few minutes of meeting them. He is every bit the sort to fall in love three times before breakfast--usually with kadin--and is deeply committed to anyone who might take him up on his advances, at least until they choose to be done with him. Oh, he'll flirt, but entirely for the fun of it instead of an attempt to court and woo.

He has currently been ousted from control of his Duchy and is wandering Velukaelo in search of allies.
