Whispers in hushed alleys say to leave a paper crane containing the name of your departed loved one to ensure that the winter sun will guide them safely to the world beyond. That paired with an offering of fragrant incense, you may ensure that your loved one is judged more fairly.

How true any of it is, is left quietly Untalked About. Rooster is married to the job, and rarely ventures into public unless it is to visit Igyera or fish bodies out of the ocean below.

Rooster is a bit. Odd. Time spent judging the dead has left him very Very disconnected from how to interact with the living, and generally he regards people as a whole as a particularly interesting ant farm. One he has no qualms about wiping out if need be, but until that's necessary Rooster is happy to watch all the busy little creatures scurry around living their lives and struggling to make things of themselves.

He has a tendency to be overly familiar and friendly with strangers, and those in Zolkanis who've met him swear he can read their minds, but for all of his friendliness and the brighthearted appearence, Rooster actually emotes very little. ...If at all. He is incredibly detatched from people, and seemingly as a result from his own feelings.
Those who knew him before he took his current job can tell you that once he was a rather somber and morbid cub, but sometime after coming to Zolkanis that changed and he became as closed off as the zone itself.
