Kori no Oji is thought to be a legend. But outside this legend, they are far different than what's told of him. He is calm, preferring to be alone when possible and without a pack to call his own. Such a lonely life has effected the poor Ketucari, that waits within a cave deep in the forest for a friend. When travelers cross into the woods to bring him down due to false claims, he has no choice but to either retaliate or run- and most of the time, he has no other choice but fight. These confrontations often end with the men in terrible shape- often dying in the woods by either other animals or by the cost of their own injuries. Nevertheless, it's rare spot this beast within the forest they live within, and thus has even become a legend to the town that lives near the area. It is said Kori no Oji was a cub lost in the woods during the cold winter, their parents killed by men while they tried desperately to find their missing cub. As a result, the cub died in the cold- alone. But their spirit lived on, growing to become a beast whose roar could make the trees and land tremble, their breath said to freeze anything that came into contact. Any man that entered the forest were said to never return. Not a trace of them left- as if they never existed, and were eventually forgotten by their family and town. When a townsperson so much as gets a glimpse of the beast, they are said to have only little time before they, too, are taken in the beasts embrace and forgotten by the rest of the world. Thus by even seeing a glimpse of it within a photograph is told to be of ill omen, and soon he would come for you, too. The legend has led to many hunters attempting to bring the beast down, thus far none have proven successful.
