He's used to abandonment, first father, then his brother, then ultimately his mother. Daniel's had to adapt in a world that actively wants to do him harm. He learned how to get by by himself as nothing was ever handed to him. Survival had a learning curve and he had to learn fast. Daniel is blind, an byproduct of his parents carelessness and he has to live with the consequences. He's used to the stigma attached to his blood now, and is wary around others because of it. He didn't count on being taken in by two bounty hunters one fated day. Now grudgingly, he works with them. Quietly, he hopes they don't abandon him too.
