Lamont is a kind, albiet serious, ketucari. Born and raised in Messus, he served as a cop during the last five years. However, a recent altercation with three of the Messus Runners stripped him of his ability to perform his duty to specifications, and he left the force. He doesn't hold it against any of the three members.
Lamont is very by the book and duty driven, and being without his job has not been easy on him. He tries to uphold justice when and where he can, but it his name only carries so much weight outside of Messus. That said, while he is very by the book, he is not above going around the rules to help a friend. His and Kestrel's friendship was mostly comprised of Kestrel charging off to do a thing without following proper procedure and Lamont filling out the proper paperwork for him so he wouldn't get in trouble. Kes never requested this and often didn't even know it was being done.

Lamont is also resourceful. He can scrounge like the best of them, and is surprisingly adept at macguivering things together into something functional that does exactly what he wants it to do.

However he can also hold a grudge like the best of them, and has been known to get manipulative and guilt-trippy. He tried this on Kestrel only once after leaving the force. Never again, he swore, after finding himself flat on his back with Kestrel's teeth at his throat and a kill claw at his heart and jaw.

Lamont is loyal. In order of importance: His Community, his Job, his Family, his Friends. He is also friendly and welcoming to most strangers and is usually the one to invite guests to his and Kestrel's camp.
