Background:

A Professor of Archaeology at the University of Messus he spends his time filling out grant applications, courting wealthy donors and on expeditions to treacherous ancient ruins to retrieve relics of forgotten civilizations. He much prefers the latter. He's often accompanied on his expeditions by Slate and Sky (Sky when the expedition isn't definitely going to be super dangerous like going to Antikutan or killing a god).

Personality:

Reasonably justified pessimist (there are always snakes). Believes important historical artefacts belong in museums...but there are plenty of smaller things which could be used or sold to collectors to fund the next expedition, or ensure it's survivable.

Relationships:

Slate is his partner.

Sky is their adopted child.

Has an out of department mentoring relationship with Yttrin , Auvryath and Idris who are grad students at the University - they will go on join expeditions and coordinate fundraising efforts.
