On the outside she seems cold and defensive, baring her teeth at anyone who dares come too close only ever letting Onyx touch her. She is fiercely protective of the young toa and will not hesitate to shred any threat to him apart.

 

She was stolen as a yearling and taken to a lab somewhere she does not remember. She suffered horrific agonizing experiments and learned quickly to never trust another living thing.

 

The experiments enhanced her agility, stamina and senses making her much faster than your standard ketucari. She also gained the elemental ability of ice, not from the natural magic of the tarn but the awful agonizing genetic alterations she had to endure.

 

She had resigned herself to dying in this hell and never seeing her home again.

 

Until something happened. Explosions, chaos, dead bodies everywhere. The power to the lab had died, allowing her to break out of her cell and run. She came across a highly secure room that had been broken into during the chaos, and she found laying on the floor in front of a broken chamber filled with fluid and tubes spilling everywhere a young toa covered in blood not his own looking terrified and confused, there were corpses all around him...

 

Despite telling herself it would be best to just run and escape on her own, something about the yearling reminded her of herself, right when she had first been captured. So she roused the toa from his dazed state, led him out of that lab and RAN with him.

 

The two ran and ran until they were certain that hell would never catch them again.

 

She attached herself to the yearling toa and gave him a name, Onyx.

 

Slowly Onyx has taught Aelyn to trust again but it is a process and she still often bares her teeth at anything that may make her nervous.

 

She’s coming out of her shell however and is a very caring kadin, surprisingly generous and ready to live the rest of her life free.
