Character: cause i need room to breathe / let me float back to the place you found me / ill be ok Born in Lucedar and left behind by es sire and dam, Language grew up half-wild and has rarely met es own kind. While es exact age is unknown, e is very playful and can easily be pegged as younger than es companions. Lang's often mistaken for an oversized cub due to es stumpy limbs and bubbly personality, and es upbringing (or lack thereof) meant that e has no idea how to act around other kets. This means that e can cross social boundaries without even meaning to or understanding why es conversation partner wants to disembowel em out of nowhere. How Lang survived this long is not really a mystery: sick, injured, and on death's door, the feral cub was found by a Lucedarian nomad and nursed back to health. The nomad, who introduced themself as Journey, soon became Language's closest companion. All they asked in return was for Lang to be their travel companion to protect them from the more dangerous entities found throughout Velukaelo. Jou is not always around, but when they're able to they look after Language and make sure e doesn't get into trouble. Language has an active imagination and a passion for creativity-- e loves making things with es own paws, and has difficulty with keeping aforementioned paws still. This means that e's always doing something or another, and when left alone without anything to do e finds some way to entertain emself until es friends get back. Being alone for long stretches of time is okay by em apart from that, and while Jou may return to camp to find Lang buried under a pile of junk e tried to make a fort out of, e always stays exactly where they left em. While Journey was es only contact with another sapient being for a long time, that's not the case as of now. A storm caused by Hianlian led to the two being separated; panicky, overwhelmed, and directionless, Language was lucky to be found by Insomnia 604, who helped em weather the storm and introduced em to his companion. The two kets kept em safe and sound, although Ixode 552 had little patience for Language's lack of people skills, and it wasn't too long before Journey (who had been scared half to death when they realized Lang was gone) heard word of es location and they reunited. Nowadays Lang is usually travelling with Ixode's pack, and, regardless of how Ixode feels about it, Jou follows. Language has no concept of gender and responds to any pronouns. Journey refers to em with e/es/em/emself.
