Packs here are owned by the group. They cannot participate in group activities but may be joined or used in your ketucari's backstory.

Democ Pack

Matriarchs

Elder Males

Range: Democ has been know to have a far-reaching route in their wanderings. They have been spotted all across Darsha, though small groups may break off to complete long journeys to Lucedar or Aegrus if the pay is good.
Attunement preferences: None. All attunements are welcome in Democ.
Deity Allegiances: Democ does not openly express allegiance to any one god over the other. A neutral pack, they are both feared and respected across their range.
Attitude toward other packs: While they have no official allies, Democ tends to keep a peaceful relationship with other packs they may encounter. Unless given a reason to be hostile, they will not waste their resources on feuds.
Cub Kills: Since Democ has reached a point of prosperity and security, cubs of lower-ranking ketucari have a low chance of being killed unless there is something physically wrong with them. The biggest danger comes from Kaur, who has been know to lash out unexpectedly, especially when separated from her right-hand-man Rufio for too long. Blackheart will only weed out the weak when food is scarce, and Nila will only do it out of mercy.

The Democ Pack is the largest known pack on the three continents. They, along with the nomads they travel with, have locked their "trade" down to a science under the rule of their three matriarchs and four most prominent elder males. Democ boasts a coalition of three powerful females, each helping to balance out the personalities of the other two. They are frequently contracted to hunt deities and demons who are troubling villages. Since they have so many individuals with a wide range of talents to tap into, they typically put specialized groups together after assessing their target's strength and weaknesses so that they can complete their jobs as efficiently as possible. Not only do they get payouts from completing the kill, but also from selling body parts from their kills on the black market. Although their business is technically illegal in Darsha, Democ has made a select few allies in the Akadri empire who are willing to make the law look the other way as long as they continue to only target troublemakers.

Kath Pack

Matriarch

Other Elders

Range: Kath wanders the continent of Aegrus.
Attunement preferences: Kath is exclusively a dasrah pack. All other attunements are either turned out or killed.
Deity Allegiances: None. All deities are fair game in the eyes of Kath.
Attitude toward other packs: Hostile. Since the continent of Aegrus is a difficult place to survive, Kath prefers to eliminate competition.
Cub Kills: Kamala, the pack's matriarch, has been known to kill all cubs of low-ranking pack members who do not show dasrah attunement during plentiful times. When resources are scarce, however, she shows no mercy to any low-ranking cub. Cubs of elders who do not have the dasrah attunement are allowed to reach maturity before being banished from the pack. Since they have been selecting for dasrah for generations, the instances of non-dasrah cubs being born into the pack are rare. Also, being that Kath's ideals have been ingrained in their members for so long, non-dasrah cubs are seen as a disgrace and are actually more likely to be culled by their own mother than by Kamala.

The Kath pack of Aegrus has been allied with wandering hibridi barbarians for centuries. Currently led by the fearsome Kamala and her favorite elder male Atul, they are heavily invested in the trade of deity parts and even use them in their own rituals. Kath members believe that dasrah is the prime form of magic and that it produces the best warriors due its difficulty to master. Whether or not it is actually true, it has been instilled in them for so long that they will defend their ideals to the death. In battle, Kath members show no mercy to their opponents.

Lekos Pack

Matriarchs

Elder Males

Range: Lekos wanders the rainforests of Lucedar.
Attunement preferences: While the majority of their members are greheli, Lekos is not biased toward any attunement.
Deity Allegiances: Kohtoyasa, Asli, Saoirse, Seijalka, Hyperion
Attitude toward other packs: Friendly. Lekos only shows violence toward other packs in defense.
Cub Kills: Lekos matriarchs only kill low-ranking cubs if it's absolutely necessary. Lean times are usually the cause, in which cases they kill cubs before they have to suffer through starvation.

Lekos has a reputation for being an easy-going pack. Owing their allegiance to gods associated with life and nature, they believe all life is sacred and no kill should go to waste. Lekos members are, for the most part, friendly toward outsiders. They and their people specialize in hunting the demons and abhorrent constructs of the malevolent god Anti, which often seek to undo the work of Lekos' favored deities.

Yaral Pack

Matriarch

Other Elders

Range: Yaral keeps to the more remote regions of Darsha, where food is sometimes scarce.
Attunement preferences: None. All attunements are welcome in Yaral.
Deity Allegiances: Madukaar, Anti, Cronus, Ghatri, Hel
Attitude toward other packs: Tense. While Yaral will not attack on sight, they make it clear that they aren't happy about sharing their territory.
Cub Kills: Cub kills are frequent in Yaral. This is due to the limited resources of their territory, as well as Sirahn's inexperience as a leader making it difficult for her to make judgment calls on whether or not the deed is really necessary.

Once part of the Democ pack, Yaral was formed when a group of young elder ketucari and nomads chose to split from their birth pack and strike out on their own. They are comprised mainly of young ketucari and their behavior certainly shows it. Yaral is, in short, a pack built on the foundation of rebellion. They have allied themselves with deities known for mischief, chaos, and general hedonism. Using what they've learned from their time in Democ, Yaral has just managed to scrub out a living for themselves as they struggle to find their identity. While matriarch Sirahn and her most trusted elder Raharjo have made plenty of mistakes (often at the cost of their pack members), they are slowly but surely learning how to become competent leaders.

Rastyn Pack

Matriarchs

Other Elders

Written by @elliotwarren with additions from @umbrafen

Range: Rastyn treads the northern edges of Aegrus, keeping to snowfall as best they can.
Attunement preferences: Talik holds a wide hold over the members of Rastyn, but now and then there are variations.
Deity Allegiances: Velenorte, Kalet, Hanebul, Draien, Darhaskos
Attitude toward other packs: Defensive. Rastyn prefers to keep to themselves, to remain hidden.
Cub Kills: Rastyn does not want to be slowed down - but they aren't heartless. While some may be culled for the overall good, Rastyn will reach to find ways around it.

Used to camouflaging themselves against the snowy terrain of northern Aegrus, Rastyn is a private pack, keeping their affairs and struggles to themselves. Distrusting of outsiders, Rastyn are unlikely to take in newcomers - although, those that prove their strength and loyalty may be considered. Rastyn want more than anything to become stronger, but in privacy. They want no word of themselves spreading, nor their deeds - not until they can defend what may come after. As far as allegiances go, Rastyn favors gods who represent secrecy and safe travels to the wanderers.

Shyar Pack

Matriarchs

Elder Males

Range: An old forest in Darsha, near the range of the Plains of Messus and Terendum.
Attunement preferences: None. All attunments are welcome in Shyar
Deity Allegiances: Ryno, Asli
Attitude toward other packs: Tense. After the events of Dogs Of War the Rynos are incredibly wary of outsiders.
Pup Kills: Pup kills are uncommon in Shyar. Pups are valued for their potential. However due to how insulated the bloodline has been until recently, and the resource pressure of needing to keep their presence hidden, they used to be more common.

The pack of rynos found in the forest, known for its incredibly egalitarian leadership, and its rough first contact with Standard type ketucari. They're suspicious and wary of outsiders and quick to chase off visitors, and keen to keep to themselves when they can.

Naos Pack

Matriarchs

Elder Males

Range: Naos is somewhat nomadic, but tends towards northern Darsha, often visiting the city of Messus.
Attunement preferences: All attunements are welcome, and Naos is fairly balanced in attunement spread.
Deity Allegiances: Danuoc, Kenkasaei
Attitude toward other packs: Cautious. As a newer pack, Naos worries about conflict over territory with stronger, more established packs.
Cub Kills: While cub kills are infrequent, when they do happen, they tend to happen in droves. Sickness can spread easily due to the size of the pack, and overpopulation is an issue in lean times.

Naos is a fairly new pack, made up of inexperienced elders who split off from other packs due to disagreements or wanting to see what the world had to offer. What they lack in experience, they make up for in size. Naos is a massive pack, and this is a blessing and a curse. They can defend themselves well with sheer numbers, but when prey is scarce, there may not be enough food to go around.

The pack often travels to the City of Messus in order to immerse themselves in the technological advancements found there. Most of the pack's members share an interest in technology, and much of the pack's hoard is spent trading for gizmos and baubles in the city.

Carnivale Pack

Matriarchs

Elder Males

Range: Everywhere
Attunement preferences: Carnivale tends to have a very vague preference for Greheli, but all are welcome.
Deity Allegiances: Darhaskos, Asli, Zarakali, Kalet, Okeanos
Attitude toward other packs: Extremely friendly. As travelling performers their goal is to entertain and then be on their way, not giving them much time to use up local resources or get into trouble.
Cub Kills: Incredibly rare, ocurring in extremely lean times or in the case of extreme sickness of either dam or cub, cases of extreme mutations, or at the dam's wishes.

Carnivale, the hosts of the travelling Colour Carnival, are a friendly and welcoming bunch. A large and well established pack, they work together as both business partners and an extended family.

They're gregarious, friendly, and welcoming to all, and always looking for new performers!

Cartography Guild

Matriarch

Range: Everywhere
Attunement preferences: None. All attunements are welcome in the Guild.
Deity Allegiances: Danuoc, Chayandhal, Igyera
Attitude toward other packs: Friendly! Almost to the point of being nosy, due to their goal of remapping the entire globe.
Cub Kills: Cub kills are nearly unheard of given that cubs are rarely born to the pack.

Less of a pack and more of a business, the guild travels the globe and re-maps it now that more of it has become acessible. It has several non-ketucari members, particularly Akadri and Heldyr.
Their primary goal is creating maps and perhaps performing some archeology to relearn any history that has been lost since the Akadri War.

paschara's Guard

Matriarch

Other Elders

Range: Paschmahaa
Attunement preferences: Paschara's Guard has a vague preference for Berserkers.
Deity Allegiances: Allegiances: Garoch, Chayandhal, Igyera, Hel, Kenkasaei
Attitude toward other packs: Tense. They've been separated from the rest of Ketucari Civilization for a long time and are wary of rejoining.
Cub Kills: Relatively common. Garochs are large and space and resources are at a premium, resulting in strict population control.

Paschara's Guard was founded shortly after Paschara was carved out of its mountain. Technologically advanced, and hidden away around the same time as the children of Danuoc, the pack quickly flourished despite the harsh conditions of their sanctuary.
The pack is intensely meritocratic, and members are expected to be willing to fight (sometimes literally) for their views.

Wanderers Pack

If the Wanderers have a Matriarch, her identity is unknown.

Range: Everywhere
Attunement preferences: The Wanderers' attunements are incredibly variable by nature of the pack.
Deity Allegiances: Velenorte, Madukaar
Attitude toward other packs: Variable. Due to the annual change in pack makeup, their interactions with other packs change with their members.
Cub Kills: Cub kills are infrequent to nonexistent. Affairs with ketucari outside of the pack are common, and cubs that result from these are almost never culled, but rarely stay with the Wanderers.

The Wanderers are an unusual pack. Each year, six individuals set out into the world to explore and seek out a more permanant home for themselves. No one knows what draws these individuals together, no one knows why they wander.

Wanderers are unavailable for player ketucari to join, unless they were a wanderer in the past.
