Kishi would happily let Kavi have it if. Which might just be the most infuriating part of it--Kishi doesn't even appreciate the time and effort their father is spending on him! Kavi is angry and bitter at the world for "denying him the love of his father" and instead handing it to Kshitij. He follows his father around Velukaelo, happily taking whatever scraps he's given--anything to please his temperamental father who couldn't care less about what ultimately happens to him.
