Kestrel is a stubborn ketucari hailing from the city of Messus, though he travels extensively away from his home. He's a sweetheart who wants nothing more than to help people. However he is hot-tempered and impulsive, with a strong lean towards poetic justice for wrong-doers, and tends to obsess over those who've escaped him. He strongly believes in getting the job done quickly--not necessarily done right. Has to be reminded sometimes that actions have consequences and rushing into a decision is bad.
He tends to beat himself up when things go wrong, even if there was nothing he could do to prevent it from happening or when he had nothing to do with the situation at hand. A firm believer in the responsibility of a Leader.
He is incredibly leery of older, larger males and absolutely despises the cold. Also struggles a lot with rules and regulations that prevent him from doing his job the way he sees fit, and can get sulky about this fact.
Kestrel is initially prickly and unfriendly when meeting strangers, watching and judging them as he decides whether or not he can trust them. This period can last anywhere from an hour to years, depending on the person. However once you have earned his trust and respect he will be there for you, unfailingly, through thick and thin and with a bad joke or two to lighten your buren.

Harming those he loves and respects, or harming innocents, is a very good way to get on his bad side and land yourself on his list of people worthy of death. Betraying him or those he cares about will guarantee you a meeting with his teeth and claws with the full intention of you not walking out of the encounter alive.

He loves to tinker with old Akadri machines and fiddle with electronics. Has a natural talent towards Talik magic and is expected to master it young.
Kes also has absolutely no idea how to handle flirting or romantic attentions, flustering easily and severely to the point of stammering and tucking his tail. However this does not stop him from occassionally entirely accidentally being very suave. Considering his usual attempts at flirting tend to come out wrong, creepy, or as flustered stammering, or as bad/offensive jokes, these moments of lucid flirting should probably be cherished.

He has a nasty habit of jumping to conclusions and shoving his own foot in his mouth.
