He woke one day in an adult body, surrounded by water and a floating dead body with a striking resemblance to him, with no recollection of himself or how he'd gotten there. It was only later that he found out a few things: one, that he was dead for years and had been brought back to life; two, that the dead ketucari he woke next to was his own brother, who had sacrificed himself to wake the dead; and three, he had a sister, Elona, who quickly bestowed upon him the nickname of Vitae and brought him up to speed on his 'life', or lack thereof.

He spends most of his time in the Silverglade - at first it was due to his brother being buried there, but over time he grew to see the forest as his home. He acts to protect the forest when he can, and sees Hyperion as wise and good. His resurrection has granted him a strange affinity with life and death, and he looks up to wise figures due to seeking out wisdom.
