So I've got my hands on a Ketucari, Now What?

First, congratulations on your new bundle of joy, defining "bundle of joy" as "terrifying horse-sized predator".

Now that you have an officially registered ketucari, you can start doing stuff. No greater joy than that! For the below activities, you will need to review our minimum submission requirements. All pieces submitted to the group will have to adhere to these requirements, unless otherwise stated.

Armor - What is it?

Before we get into the meat of the various things you can do in the group, here's a basic rundown of how armor works. You may have noticed it on your ketucari's Import page with the rest of the stats.

The armor stat is your ketucari's HP. If it hits 0 or the negatives, you can't use your ketucari until they are healed. There are two main ways to heal your ketucari, through items, or by visiting the Hallowed Tarn. We'll be getting into the Hallowed Tarn and how to use it later in this guide, along with how to use items.

Your ketucari's armor stat determines how easily your ketucari can participate in higher difficulty activities. Ketucari start with 50 armor, allowing them to safely participate in beginner adventures and battles. Medium and Hard difficulty adventures require 600 and 1200 armor to participate safely in, respectively. While you can adventure or battle at higher difficulties, your chances of your ketucari being Knocked Out go up dramatically.

Beginner: Adventures

Click here for our adventure info page!

These are going to be your bread and butter in the group. An adventure is the most basic type of activity, and will help you obtain gold and items for group purchases and crafting. In order to submit an adventure, you will need to choose one of our official zones, a difficulty level, and an adventure type. A ketucari's cunning, perception, willpower, intellect, and luck will affect their performance in adventures, with each 50 points in a stat yielding another roll in its category.

You may submit up to four 4 adventure submissions per day. You just need to make sure each ketucari has their own submission prompt for the adventure if you own multiple ketucari, or that each activity is its own submission prompt if you're submitting multiple for the same ketucari.

Reaping adventures require you to depict your ketucari hunting or foraging in your chosen zone, or going equipped for either activity. Reapings are most useful for obtaining cooking and alchemy supplies, and rely on the stats cunning and perception. More cunning will yield more meat and animal parts, and more perception will yield more herbs and vegetables.

Prospecting adventures require you to depict your ketucari searching for ore, gemstones, artifacts, or engineering materials in your chosen zone; or going equipped for such activities. Prospectings are most useful for obtaining armorsmithing, archaeology, and engineering supplies, and rely on the stats willpower and intellect. More willpower will yield more ore and gemstones, and more intellect will yield more artifacts and engineering materials.

Ventures differ from the above two in that you do not need to depict any particular activity, but must still be clearly in your chosen zone. However, they do not naturally yield any items. Their utility is in yielding far more gold and stat boosts than other adventures! Ventures are governed by luck, which increases the amount of gold obtained. Ventures also bring back offerings.

Scouting is different from other adventures by having a heavy focus on the environment. Your ketucari can be doing tasks in the environment, but again, the focus needs to be on the environment around your ketucari. Scouting will boost up to 4 random adventure stats, and has the chance of bringing back treasure maps. You can find more information about the specifics of scouting and using treasure maps here. Scouting is governed by perception and intellect.

Every time you do an adventure, there's a chance of your ketucari becoming Knocked Out. When your ketucari is Knocked Out, they lose a portion of their armor. A ketucari with 0 or Negative armor cannot be used in any activity except the Hallowed Tarn, where they will regain armor and gain some other stats. However, there are many ways to restore your armor-- meat obtained from Reaping adventures, potions purchased from the Marketplace, and Hallowed Tarn activities can all be used to restore a ketucari back to health. Additionally, if you have meat in your inventory, you can ask the admins to automatically revive your ketucari with your meat store by indicating "Yes" for Permission to Revive in the adventure form.

Your chances of being knocked out is dependent on your ketucari's maximum armor and the difficulty level you've chosen for the adventure. A ketucari with lower armor can do adventures of a higher difficulty, but they have a near guarantee of being knocked out! A ketucari needs 600 armor to do a medium-rank adventure safely, and 1200 armor to do a harsh-rank adventure safely.

Below we'll show the blank Adventures form, and an example one filled out! You can also find the form on the Adventures page. For the time being, ketucari who have both a deviantart page and a lorekeeper page will need both submitted for the import links section until their comments are transferred to lorekeeper. This doesn't apply to newly uploaded ketucari who only have a lorekeeper page, but if you obtained an older one who has both please keep this in mind.

Beginner: Skill Unlocks

These are a very freeform sort of activity, but also one of the most important! Skill unlocks let your ketucari obtain skills. Skill unlocks allow your ketucari to obtain skills that can affect their performance in adventures, battles, and other areas of the group. You can view a list of skills here! You can also learn skills via specific quests, which have more strict requirements, more on that later in the guide. Skills have no daily submission limits.

Physical and Magic skills are skills for use in battles-- a ketucari cannot participate in a battle until they've learned at least one!

Social skills have interesting bonus effects for adventures! Talent skills give passive bonuses for adventures and battles. Boons give a small stat boost and a passive boost to your future adventures, and Exploration skills give your ketucari the ability to adventure in exclusive zones and find special bonus chests in certain areas.

You may have noticed other skills on the Magic and Skills page-- these are for later after your ketucari has reached Renowned and Elder. Elder skills can be learned upon your ketucari reaching Elder status. Lineage skills are a special class. If your ketucari has the lineage skill progenitor visible on their lineage, they can learn the skill upon reaching renowned or elder.  They have a wide range of effects, from usage in battles or raids, to giving shift forms without the use of items.

Attunement

Attunement is something you decide for your ketucari, and determines what type of magic (or non magic) abilities they are "attuned" to. Once your ketucari learns a skill for a particular attunement, that is then added to their page locking them to that attunement. Some items can allow your ketucari to learn a skill outside their attunement.

Bellow are the Attunements currently in game

Greheli (gravity)
Magic users with an attunement toward greheli can bend gravity to their will. By weakening and strengthening gravity around themselves and in their immediate vicinity, greheli users can cause things to fly, stop, speed up, deflect, and even implode. Greheli users are effective tanks in battle, as it can be extremely difficult to land a hit on them. Greheli is also useful in everyday life, especially when it comes to construction and exploration.

Talik (electromagnetism)
Talik deals with electricity and magnetism. In battle, talik users combine devastating hits with crippling conditions such as paralysis & confusion. Experts in talik are capable of creating "rift portals" through space, allowing them to teleport small distances. Being that talik gives its users the ability to bend electricity, it is of course widely used outside of battle as well.

Dasrah (nuclear)
Dasrah is the most versatile and the most brutal form of magic. It deals with the very forces that hold atoms together, and therefore has massive potential for evil and good. Dasrah users can bend the molecular structure of their bodies as well as in the things around them. The most powerful dasrah users of all are the Lucedarians, who have broken it down into elemental (fire, water, etc.) specializations. In battle, dasrah is almost exclusively an offensive power, used to cause explosions and even disintegrate body parts.

Berserker (non-magic)
The strength of berserkers lies not in magic, but in physical force. They are experts at using their natural weaponry, as well as using their opponents' bodies against them. Being that most expect fights to involve magic, berserkers can sometimes take their enemies by surprise by using pure melee assault.

Beginner: Quests

Quests are another way your ketucari can learn skills, however they have more specific requirements to complete, such as location or armor. However, you don't have to take the skill unlock to complete a quest with your ketucari. To submit a completed quest, find the matching entry on the Prompt Submission, enter whether or not your ketucari is learning a skill, and if they are taking the Honor or Notoriety Path if it's part of the quest. Honor and Notoriety gains are a part of the Packs system. More detailed information on quests can be found here.

An early quest that any ketucari can complete can be found in the Blasting Moors called Quite the Stunner (Bottom of the page). It's given by the starter Shachath The optional skill your ketucari can learn from it is slam, and your ketucari can take an honor or notoriety path for it! The goal for the quest is for your Ketucari to try knocking down an armatherium, a species of fauna found in the blasting Moors that's a hard-hitting beginner battle fauna (more on that in the Battles section!).

Other quests have strict armor and attunement requirements.

Beginner: Battles

There are two types of battles your Ketucari can participate in; Ketucari vs Environment (KvE) and Ketuvari vs Ketucari (KvK). To paritcipate in any battle your ketucari needs to have learned at least one battle skill. You can find all relevant battles information here, but we'll be covering how to participate in battles here too. First we'll be covering KvE battles!

You may submit up to 4 battle submissions per day. You just need to make sure each ketucari has their own submission prompt for the battle if you own multiple ketucari.

KvE Battles

First, you need to pick a zone for your setting, and then a beginner battle fauna for that zone. You can do others, but we recommend a beginner fauna for your first go. As a note, there's three interior tiers to each main tier of fauna. They are Low-hitting, Medium-hitting, and Hard-hitting. As an example, a Pinchypollie is a Low-hitting Beginner fauna. This describes how much damage they can do to your ketucari in a fight. So the pinchypollie won't do as much damage on average as a quald can in a fight. It's helpful to keep this in mind when picking your targets for a KvE battle.

After you've decided where and what your ketucari is battling, you'll need to make an art or literature piece of your ketucari fighting or otherwise in conflict with the fauna. They can also be observing or interacting with the fauna. KvE battles can have up to 4 participating ketucari. So if you have friends who have a ketucari and want to participate, you can include them in your battle piece!

Next, you'll want to submit the battle under the appropriate prompt from the Submissions page. We'll put the blank form below and an example filled out form!

This means that if at the end of the battle your ketucari is at -100 health, we will use the equivalent of 10 Chunks of Meat from your hoard. If you do not have the appropriate items, your ketucari will be at a negative health and unable to participate in activities! If there is a specific item you would like for us to use instead, you may specify here as well.)

An example of the form filled is out for the starter Rufio-002 as if he were a new ketucari! For the purposes of this example, he unlocked the battle skill Rend, and he'll be fighting a Pinchypollie (From the Plains of Messus)!

Hit Submit, and then an Admin will review it, and if it passes, post results the results on the submission page and your ketucari's Battle Results comment!

KvK Battles

Here's how to initiate a KvK battle! First you'll need either two ketucari of your own, or find someone who doesn't mind your ketucari battling each other. It's a lot like KvE battles, however only two ketucari may participate in a KvK. The first player to submit (or in a battle against your own ket, the first one submitted) is regarded as "Player 1". In the event of a draw, or in the case of stuns with the current roller system, "Player 1" wins the "speed tie" and earns the stun or victory. With that in mind, take a look at the form below.

If there is a specific item you would like for us to use instead, you may specify here as well.)

As you can see, it's very similar to the KvE battle form! Because you're battling another ketucari there's no sections for capturing creatures, and instead you will link to your opponent. You and your partner (if you have one) will also need to submit your Ketucari's sides of the fight before it can be rolled. Whoever wins the battle will receive a Winner's Chest, 3 laurels, and some battle stats. Whoever loses will receive 2 laurels and some battle stats. After the fight is rolled rewards will be distributed, your Ketucari's armor adjusted to what they have after the battle, and the results posted to each ketucari's Battle Results comment.

Battle Achievements

Towards the bottom of the Battles page you'll notice two sections, one for Ketucari Achievements, and one for Player Achievements. You earn these by participating in various battles to meet the criteria and unlock the achievement! For unlocking them you also get a nice pile of laurels to go with your effort. To claim the achievements and the laurels you will need to go to the Hoard.

Ketucari Achievements are unlocked per ketucari, and stay with that ketucari if their ownership ever changes.

Player Achievements are unlocked per player, and can only be completed once.

Beginner: Hallowed Tarn

So your ketucari was knocked out and needs healing, you can use meat or other healing items if you have them, or you can visit the Hallowed Tarn.

So what is it?
The Hallowed Tarn is a mysterious lake found at the foot of Mount Vitian in Leto. One of the functions of the tarn is to heal your ketucari. Each piece will heal half of your ketucari's total armor. Tarn pieces have the same requirements as the rest of the group activities, and are fairly open ended for how you interpret them. Does your ketucari step into the water with reverence? Do they pray to something or someone? Or is it merely a functional task that they put little thought into to heal themselves? How you interpret this is up to you!

Upon entering the tarn, your ketucari will be healed for half of their total armor. They will also receive a roll for a nobility increase and random stat boost! Nifty eh? Keep in mind you can only submit a Tarn activity once a week

Other Tarn Activities

The tarn also has other functions-- Resurrecting a dead cub and receiving an elemental blessing. Both of these are for later after you've completed activities with your ketucari, and more information can be found on the Hallowed Tarn Page. This is one of the places in game where Offerings you receive on some activities are used.

Beginner: Breeding

Breeding is another big activity in the game, and it's how more little ketucari are made! So how does your Ketucari earn the right to participate?

First your ketucari will need to have completed one Adventure, learned a skill, and participated in one Battle. After that you will gather the results links, and fill out the form on Breeding Eligibility page. When you submit it you also have the option of seeing if your activity pieces meet the requirements for one of the prompts (if you didn't already look at them earlier). Once an admin reviews your form to make sure everything is in order your ketucari will now be able to breed!

Before you find a partner for your ketucari to breed with, there's some key information you should know. Below you'll find some key information regarding the risks of breeding that we'll go over in this guide. More detailed information can be found on the Breeding page.

  • All ketucari will start out with 20 lifetime breeding slots upon earning their Breeding Eligibility. There's ways you can gain more lifetimes slots later, such as reaching Elder rank (More on reaching Elder later in this guide).
  • Every breeding from non-Elder ketucari will have their litters subject to Matriarch Kills. The base chance of a matriarch kill happening is 40% per cub. Items and skills can reduce or remove the chances of cubs being subject to a matriarch kill.
    • Reaching Renowned will cut the base risk per cub by half to 20%.
  • Inbreeding Penalties-- If there's a shared ancestor cubs will ahve an increased risk of stillbirth, as well as risking being born with blindness and deafness. Cubs that aren't stillborn will have penalties to their stats; -50 to Nobility, and -15 to Strength, Dexterity, Cunning, Perception, Willpower, Intelligence, and Luck.

Beginner: Crafting

So you've participated in a few activities now, and you may have some items. Now what do you do with them? That's where the crafting system comes in. With crafting you can turn those items into boons or equipment to help. Every ketucari can craft recipes from the beginner tier in each discipline. There are currently five total crafting disciplines. Below we'll list out what they are, and a short blurb for each from the Crafting Guide page

Alchemy: Alchemy is a crafting discipline that incorporates the use of herbs and animal parts to create potions and various other items such as talismans. Potions can be used to raise your ketucari's statistics either temporarily or permanently, while other items can be applied as breeding bonuses and more! More information can be found by visiting Qarakarja's Lab.

Archaeology: Archaeology allows your ketucari to put together pieces of artifacts they've found via prospecting adventures or raids to create a complete artifact. Artifacts can offer things such stat boosts and special abilities- like the ability to shapeshift! More information can be found by visiting Seijalka's Tree.

Armorsmithing: Armorsmithing is mostly a free-form crafting discipline as it has very few set recipes. Armorsmithing allows you to craft custom armor to suit your ketucari's needs. Armor helps your ketucari gain access to higher level zones and can increase their other statistics by using gems. Some nifty breeding and other gameplay items may also be found here! More information can be found by visiting Ochredari's Forge.

Cooking: Cooking allows you to combine meat, herbs, and vegetables for various useful breeding items and other boons! More information can be found by visiting Somah's Kitchen.

Engineering: Engineering allows your ketucari to put together devices to aid in adventures, quests, and more! More information can be found by visiting Kenkasaei's Hovel.

Crafting Requests

To submit a crafting request you need to first start a prompt submission request. Next under prompt title you'll want to type or find the "Crafting Request" prompt, or click here to go straight to it. You don't need to put anything in the URL, as there's no writing or artwork that needs to be submitted with a crafting request. Some players choose to notate what item they are crafting, and that's fine to do if you'd like!

Next you'll want to link to the Ketucari who's completing the crafting, what the Ketucari is crafting, and any necessary notes such as crafting skills, in the Comments box. You may also link the ketucari in the Characters section instead.

Finally, you'll need to go down to the Your Inventory section and add all the materials for the item you're crafting. Make sure you checkmark the item to add it to the submission, and the amount in the dropdown menu off to the right. Items are grouped by source. so you may need to do this a couple times for the same item. There's also a search and filter function to help you find items!

Once all that is done, hit submit and then an admin will look over the request to make sure everything lines up, and if it's approved you'll receive your shiny new item!

Crafting Advancements

So, you may have seen a fun recipe in one of the higher recipe tiers on a crafting page, and may be wondering "how do I get my ketucari the ability to craft those?" or "I want to craft some better armor" Well, we're going to explain how to get your ketucari a Crafting Advancement! Before we get started, it's important to note that each ketucari may only reach medium/advanced in up to 3 crafting disciplines, and of those 3 a ketucari may only reach legendary crafting in one discipline. More detailed information about Crafting Advancement can be found on the Crafting Guide page, as we'll only be doing a quick explanation here of the medium/advanced advancement process.

To advance from beginner to medium/advanced crafting in a discipline is pretty straightforward. You need to make a piece depicting your ketucari engaging with the discipline you'd like to advance. Please note that there is a limit of two ketucari benefiting from an advancement piece at a time, however any other ketucari involved may be doing other rollable activities.

Once you've finished your advancement piece you'll go to Prompt Submissions, find the Crafting Advancement prompt, and paste the URL to the advancement piece. Then you'll need to link your ketucari in the Characters field (remember each ketucari needs their own submission!). After that you can submit! If everything passes, you'll receive 20 gold and your ketucari will advance one crafting level in the chosen discipline-- and have a fancy new title on their import page as proof of their skill!

Beginner: Hoard

The Hoard is where you can apply items and equipment to your ketucari, redeem items and laurels, item buybacks, exchange legendary materials, and redeem Misc Art! Below we've broken down each section of the hoard.

Item Application

This is where you can apply items, such as meat to heal your ketucari. There's a limit of 5 items being applied per comment. To apply them you'll need to fill out the form in the Item Application comment thread. This includes linking to the ketucari items are being applied to, your inventory, the items being applied, and if the items being applied can change your ketucari's import/appearance, a link to the updated image. This is also where you go to apply healing items to your ketucari.

To get a link to your inventory, there's a button on the top right of your inventory page that you can copy for a shareable link to your inventory!

Below we have the limits of items and equipment per ketucari.

Equipped/Applied Item Limits per Ketucari--

  • Unlimited accessories
  • One piece of armor
  • Two companions
  • Two Archaeology pieces
  • Two Armorcrafting pieces
  • Two Battle Item pieces (No Duplicates)
  • Two Engineering pieces

Keep in mind that if you're applying armor to your ketucari, any old armor will be destroyed as armor is soul-bonded to the ketucari it's equipped to!

Item Redemption:

Some items in your inventory need you to go here to open/claim, such as the Pouch of Raw Materials. To redeem an item here is straightforward. You fill out the form with the item you're redeeming, proof of participation (if it's from a contest), and inventory link.

For example, if you're redeeming a Pouch of Raw Materials, you'd list out the exact legendary herbs or gems you want. An admin will then make sure everything is good and you'll receive your items!

Laurels Redemption

While you automatically receive laurels from battles, there are other ways to get laurels that you need to go here to redeem. From earlier in this guide you may remember Player and Ketucari battle achievements, this is where you go to redeem those! This is also where you redeem laurels from Raid Participation.

The form is more involved-- You'll need to link your ketucari, how the laurels were earned, proof of how you earned the laurels (battle results, or tracker for titles), amount of laurels for the redemption, and the total amount of laurels being redeemed in the comment. You can submit up to 5 separate forms to redeem per comment.

Item Buybacks

If you find you have a lot of one item that you aren't using, you can go here to sell it! Items must be sold in a stack-- A group of 5 items is considered a stack. The buyback rates can be found on the Hoard page.

Exchange Legendary Items

This is where you go to exchange legendary items for another of the same type! This means gem for gem, herb for herb, etc. You can also exchange Raid Acessories here! For the form you link your inventory, what item you're exchanging, and then what you want in return!

Misc. Art Redemption

Maybe you have some sketches or doodles of your ketucari and are wondering if they are worth something in game, and we're here to say you can get something from them! While this isn't used in the hoard, the information for redeeming Misc. Art that doesn't fit minimum activity requirements is found here. There's a limit of 5 piece redemptions per month

Each Misc. Art piece can be redeemed for 3g. If you're submitting 5 at once you can submit it for 15g, or for a mid-difficulty adventure with the community owned Emissary 1671! To redeem your Misc. Art pieces, use one of the forms below on this prompt--

For an adventure:
Zone: (specify any zone)
Difficulty: (this must be set to Medium!)
Sub-Category: (specify reaping, prospecting, or venture)

For gold:
(Link your Misc. Art Pieces!)
Redeeming Misc. Art Pieces for: (specify how much gold)

Beginner: Titles

Titles are fun ketucari-bound achievements that you can earn and a way to gain Legacy Points. Besides showing up on the list of achievements on your ketucari's page, you can have it show under their import name on their page by going to the edit page and selecting it from the drop down menu! Each ketucari may only unlock a title once.

Titles are broken up into Four tiers--

  • Tier One titles grant 5 Legacy Points
  • Tier Two titles grant 10 Legacy Points
  • Tier Three titles grant 15 Legacy Points
  • Legendary Tier grants 70 Legacy Points

Each title will list out the requirements to claim it for your ketucari. Once you meet them, you fill out the form in the Title Redemption thread with the title and the required proof for earning the title. An admin will look it over and confirm whether or not your ketucari meets the requirements, and once approved, your ketucari will have a shiny new title and you'll be richer in Legacy Points!

If you have an idea for a new title, send your suggestion to the Suggestions thread!

Beginner: Player & Zone Objectives

Player and Zone Objectives are another way to earn Legacy points, along with some other neat prizes!

Zone Objectives

These are a set of 4 prompts you can complete in any order, and you don't need to complete all of them! Each prompt has different requirements, and different rewards. When submitting, it is one zone and one ketucari per comment, and you may submit all four in a single comment. Below we've listed the 4 prompts.

Prompt 1: Show your ketucari interacting with the zone's fauna. This may be used as a battle if it meets the requirements.
Rewards: 10 Copper Ore, 10 Leather Scraps, 50 Gold, 10 Legacy Points

Prompt 2: Show your ketucari interacting with the domain guardian of the zone. This may be a positive or negative experience, or they may simply be hiding from them or observing them from a safe distance.
Rewards: 10 Iron Ore, 15 Leather Scraps, 50 Gold, 15 Legacy Points

Prompt 3: Complete one quest/skill in this zone OR create a piece showing an important life event that happens to your ketucari in this zone.
Rewards:  10 Mithril Ore, 20 Leather Scraps, 50 Gold, 20 Legacy Points

Prompt 4: Earn a tier 1 title for this zone (Hunter/Herbalist/Trader/Prospector/Surveyor/Ill-Willed).
Rewards:
You may choose one of the following titles (whichever you feel best fits your ketucari)

  • Explorer of (zone name)
  • Sage of (zone name)

Player Objectives

To count for that month, activities used for tasks need to be submitted for that month. You can find the full list of tasks, along with the current and past months redemption comments!

Beginner: Bonding

You may have noticed the bonding bar on your ketucari's import page or Bonding being mentioned by members of the game. On newly obtained ketucari, this bar shows 0 filled out dots/levels. So what is it and why should you want to engage with it?

Bonding Bar

The bonding bar shows how much your ketucari has bonded to you by participating in group activities.  The higher the level, the better your ketucari will perform for you! Each level is 5 group activities. To see what counts as Group Activities please see the Bonding page

Tracker

To be able to claim your bonding levels, you'll need a way to track your progress with a tracker. The Bonding page has examples of trackers, what we look for in a tracker, and some trackers you can use yourself!

Bonding Levels and Submitting Levels

Before we said that each bonding level is 5 Group Activities. When you submit for bonding levels, your ketucari will receive rewards! Below we have listed out the bonding levels and rewards--

FOR LEVELS 1-5:
Each time you redeem pieces for a level, your ketucari will receive
+10 to any Adventure stat of your choice
+10 Dexterity
+10 Strength
+50 Armor

FOR LEVELS 6-10:
Each time you redeem pieces for a level, your ketucari will receive
+20 to any Adventure stat of your choice
+20 Dexterity
+20 Strength
+100 Armor
+10 Nobility

At level 10 a player will be able to claim a Rare Gene Token. This token can be any rare gene except for feather types. If we find this system is being taken advantage of, this will be limited to One Token a Month Per Player.

Keep in mind, you may only submit up to three levels per comment, and the levels being raised cannot go past level 5 to make sure bonding stats are being added correctly.

When you go to submit bonding levels, make sure your tracker clearly lists out what pieces have been tracked, and either group them in 5s, or number them clearly. Doing this helps admins process your bonding request quickly.

Exalted Levels

Exalted levels are a reward for using your ketucari a lot in the game! You unlock these when your ketucari reaches Bonding Level 10 and reaches Elder status. Exalted levels are still 5 activity pieces, but the rewards are different. To read more, please see the Bonding page.

Beginner: Elder and Renowned

Several times throughout this guide we've mentioned Elder and Renowned status, and some of the benefits that come from your ketucari reaching these milestones. So how do you unlock them?

Renowned Rank

Reaching Renowned is considered the halfway mark to elderhood. The requirements to reach Renowned are one of the following--

  • Has all 30 themes
  • Has all 14 skills
  • Has 15 themes and 7 skills

Upon reaching renowned your ketucari gets the following benefits

  • 1 Common Token (gene must be specified when redeeming
  • The ketucari may have tokens applied to them as long as the rules for applying tokens are followed: Obtaining and Applying Tokens
  • This will reduce the chance of matriarch kills in that individual ketucari's litters by half. Be sure to list their renowned rank under "other bonuses" on the breeding form!
  • Renowned ketucari also receive an extra item roll in raids!
  • Renowned ketucari may learn a lineage skill!

To claim/redeem Renowned status for your ketucari, first make sure your tracker has all the information clearly labeled and is easily found on the tracker. Once that's done, go here and fill out the form to submit your ketucari for Renowned status!

Elder Status

Reaching elderhood is the highest social standing within ketucari society that a ketucari may earn (outside of being a Matriarch). Ketucari who have reached Elder have proven their worth through their deeds. All ketucari have the potential to reach Elder regardless of their parents' social standing. Typically a ketucari s about a half century old by the time they reach Elder.

To claim Elder status your ketucari must have completed the following

  • Has all 14 skills
  • Has 30 Themes
Elder Themes

So, we've mentioned that your ketucari needs to have completed Themes to reach both Renowned and Elder. What are they?

Themes are a way to tell your ketucari's story, since reaching elder is part of that story you'll need to work 30 themes into your pieces. You can do pieces with themes on their own, and you can work them into your other group activities such as Adventures!  How you interpert themes and which ones your ketucari completes are up to you. On the Renwoned and Elder page you can find a list of all available themes.

For submitting both Renowned and Elder, you need to have thumbnails or links to the required pieces, and what theme they are fulfilling. You can track this separately from your ketucari's bonding tracker, or on the same tracker.

Activity Submissions - A note

Your art and lit pieces will not be judged for rollability based on art style or skill level. Your rolls will not be denied because you prefer a chibi or simpler style.

However Your art and lit pieces will be judged on effort. We allow activity sheets, comic pages, long literature(see Bulk Rolls), but each panel in a sheet must be distinct from every other panel. Backgrounds must be varied even if depicting the same zone. If you have drawn your ketucari 10 times, we should have some idea of what your ketucari's personality is in various circumstances. Your poses, situations, and composition should be varied across the page.

This also applies to non-activity sheets-- if you put in 10 non-sheet pieces that are functionally identical, that's going to flag as spam. If they're all titled something like "Adventure Zone 1/10" it's probably going to be seen as spam.

Please play with color, lighting, styles, and shapes! Show us what your ketucari is like! If you're worried or wondering that a piece you're working on might be considered spam you're more than welcome to ask in the Admin General Questions channel in the game discord!
