Ketixi Guides: Ground Rules
• Do not try to abuse marking ranges to create a pseudo-version of colors/markings your ketixi does not have.
• The base coat should be immediately recognizable, as should markings. Exceptions to this are in the case of color mutations, Rixixi mutations, or high presence of a white marking such as Leopard or Piebald, or the presence of Melanistic Pastel
• Admins reserve the right to clarify the design guides at any time, especially if there is a pending design that makes us aware of loopholes or badly worded guidelines.
Looking for a particular gene? Press CTRL+F and type it in the search bar!
Markings with pass rates of 45% or greater are common, between 20% and 40% inclusive uncommon, and 19% or less rare. More information here.
Mutations will be sorted into "Common", "Uncommon", "Rare", and "Combination"

Ketixi have a limited gene pool as well as several genes combined from both species. To exist on the Ketixi list, there must be a similar gene on both species. The full list is on the other tab!
You may use geno-editing items on your Ketixi, such as tokens, fogshard pieces, and statues. Tokens do not have a limit for Ketixi. If using a token/fogshard gene that was fused from two genes for Ketixi to make a new unique gene (eg. Sunny Ember), either the relevant fogshard or token will work. (a Sun Chrono fogshard, an Ember token). Supercharged Alchemy fogshards cannot trade the unique fused genes to a Rixixi, as they cannot be on regular Rixixi.
Mutations must be added by the designer, mutation bases will not be made for Ketixi. Mutations that exist in Rixixi and Ketucari can both pass on the same geno - double albinism is possible, for instance. Horns use Rixixi rules - they are fully customizable and can go anywhere on the head. You can use Ketucari bases for Ketixi horns if desired, but you will have to move them to make them fit.
If a Rixixi Fur Mutation passes, you will be asked what feather type you want it to be replaced by. This may change in the future if we run this event again and more Fur Mutations are released by then!
Hybrid Genes will be listed further down. If converting a Ketixi to a Ketucari semicustom, Hybrid Genes count for 3 points.
Ketixi FAQ
What is a ketixi?
A ketixi is a hybrid between a ketucari and a Rixixi, a different closed species with its own ARPG. They have different gene rules than ketucari. They were a collaboration of IIIXKitsuneXIII, Anarchisme, and ASimpleMoon.
What is a ketixi manticore?
A ketixi manticore is a human who has gotten extensive body modifications to resemble a ketixi. They are a closed species maintained by Anarchisme and Rixixi ARPG, built off of the existing ketixi concept. They are treated as ketixi by the game.
How do I get a ketixi?
They were available during the now retired Veluchasm Festival event. They are now only available from the existing genos and imports.
How do I get a ketixi manticore?
They were available during the now retired Veluchasm Festival event. They are now only available from the existing genos and imports.
Can my ketixi/manticore breed?
No. The species is infertile due to hybrid status.
Why are Ketixi no longer available?
Due to irreconcilable differences, the Ketucari and Chasmhome ARPGs have mutually agreed to part ways. While all genotypes and existing imports will still be honored, there will be no further collaboration events and new ketixi cannot and will not be created.
In order to exist in both ARPGs, a ketixi now needs to be submitted individually for each. As the coordinated imports were the crux of the crossover and that is no longer available, we have elected to offer a conversion service (here) to allow players to exchange a ketixi geno for a ketucari semi-custom in compensation.
How does the end of the collaboration affect existing genos and imports?
A ketixi/ketixi manticore geno should now be considered as two seperate genos: one for Ketucari ARPG and one for Rixixi ARPG. Any action taken on one side will not affect the other unless the user takes action to maintain parity. At this time we will not recognize any Rixixi ARPG actions or edits to a Ketixi geno, so use in Rixixi ARPG does not void it for Ketucari purposes. However, for ownership and trading purposes, the genotype should be considered a single entity-- we do not condone or endorse attempting to trade a ketixi geno for one ARPG that has already seen use in the other.
Can a conversion be done to a Ketixi import?
At this time we have no desire or intention to offer this service.
Do I have to convert my ketixi?
No. Conversion is optional, and existing ketixi genos will still be honored if submitted to design approval, with the restriction that we will only honor geno editing items from Ketucari due to the end of the collaboration.
Are my ketixi still able to be used in game?
Yes! They are treated as equivalent to any other ketucari in every way, with the only exceptions being that they have a different gene pool and cannot breed.
Can Ketixi still be used in Rixixi?
We cannot answer any questions related to Rixixi ARPG.
Can I still put ketixi genos in for design approvals?
Yes! However be aware that there is only one admin trained in approving them and that we cannot guarantee a design approved here is approvable in Rixixi.
Can I rehome a ketixi import that I no longer want?
Ketixi can be traded, gifted, or donated to the Orphanage like any other import. They cannot be sold.

Build Specific Rules
Fins and spines follow skin rules, Mutations follow their rules in Chasmhome, check Chasmho.me for details.
Ketixi Manticores can have their facial hair and mask freely edited, and their head hair and facial hair changed to any color. Head hair itself may be edited, trimmed or lengthened, retextured, and so on fairly heavily, but should match the feather type's general style. When in doubt, check the feather type of other ketucari or ketixi builds, found on the linked on the Ketucari Design Guides page, and use the general shape. As a tip - not a strict rule - Frizzle would likely look best as a 2C or higher curl, Nicobar would likely look best as textured hair, and Bald would just make sense as a short hair style.
While there is no base for this, mainly to avoid remaking the base for feather types, breasts may be freely added without a Mutation Station. Ketixi Manticores may be AFAB without top surgery.

Hybrid Genes
These are genes exclusive to ketixi and ketixi manticore. They have no guides, just a description.
Daggerstabbed Burst (nDsb/DsbDsb) (50%) (Blood Burst or Daggerstabbed) uses the rules of Blood Burst, but can optionally change to the Ketixi's blood color instead of red when relevant.
Flourishing Display (nFld/FldFld) 65% (Display or Flourish) uses the rules of Display, but allows markings to be made on skin/nails/horns zones - markings must be made up of the Flourishing Display colors
Labyrinthine Lacing/Labyrinthine Acid/Mojave Pastel (nLlc/LlcLlc/Llc+Mm) (50%/Dom/20%) - (Lacing/Acid/Melanistic Pastel or Labyrinth or Mojave. Mojave Pastel only passes from Mel Pastel.)
Labyrinthine Lacing increases the angular allowance of Lacing, can appear like the typical snake patterns and curved, dripping patterns typical of lacing but can also appear like geometric shapes and circuitry patterns.
Labyrinthine Acid also increases the geometric shapes allowed in the marking, but is about as thick as the Acid marking typically is. Along with the snakes referenced in Acid's guide, you may also reference Arroyo and Mojave snakes for a more natural pattern.
Mojave Pastel follows Melanistic Pastel's guide except for the aforementioned increase in geometric shape allowance!
If both Skink and anything in the Labyrinthine Lacing family appear on the same Ketixi, Rixixi's Poison Dart marking can optionally be used in place of the typical Ketucari Poison Dart combination seen in the Skink guide.
Lunar Vapor (nLv/LvLv) (15%) (Lunar or Vapor) uses Vapor's rules, except that it allows any colors and any amount of colors.
Monarch Glass (nMog/MogMog) (30%) (Monarch or Stained Glass) - This combination can either restrict to a single marking listed or present as segmented dark-rimmed markings allowing for unlimited colors covering up to 30% of the ketixi.
Painted Jovian (nPjv/PjvPjv) (25%) (Painted or Jovian) Uses Painted's rules, but must use three minimum shades of the base or marking it modifies, and at minimum one accent color! Can use hard or soft-edged bands, appearing like the painted hills or clouds on gas giants.
Raccoon (nRcc/RccRcc) (55%) (Strand or Procyonid) uses Strand's rules but all rings can be twice as thick, and Procyonid's eye mask can be used.
Sunny Ember (nSum/SumSum) (50%) (Sun or Ember) Uses Sun's shape rules and range, but Ember's color rules.
Sylvan Butterfly (nSylB/SylBSylB) (15%) (Sylvan or Butterfly) - Uses Butterfly's color and percentage rules but can either be a butterfly shape or a leaf shape.
