Raid of Antikutan 2022
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by NoirmoriAntikutan’s resources have been depleted, and Guro has risen to defend the land! Does your ketucari have what it takes to help bring down the Guardian of Antikutan? Be sure to read up on Raids to see how to participate!
Current Raid status!
-Guro has been defeated! As a reminder, everyone has until Midnight tonight (March 10/2022) PST to submit raid entries!
-Sensing he's near the end, Guro gets a second wind and redoubles his attack efforts!
-Strategic Planning has been used and may not activate again this raid- Everyone's next attacks will deal double damage
Support Tier: Tier 3
Pieces until next support tier: 15/15
RAID SPECIFICS AND REMINDERS
With this being the first raid we've done in a while-- and our first trial of our final iteration of raids-- we will have a few unique protocols in place to keep the fun going, as well as a few general reminders! Firstly, keep in mind this raid, like all raids, will last a maximum of 1 month! You are free to enter ketucari at any point in the raid. There is no signup deadline! Regardless of Guro’s health, the raid will last for at least one week. Since the raid boss has a set health this go around, there is a possibility that admins will adjust their health as needed. We will notify the group if so.
We are also launching starter leasing for raids!
REQUIREMENTS FOR LEASING STARTERS:
-Anyone with 3 or less "battle ready" ketucari may lease 1-2 starters to use in the raid.
- "Battle ready" means the ketucari has at least one battle skill, so if you have 4 uploaded ketucari but only two have battle skills, you will still qualify.
- To lease a starter you simply need to make a colored headshot or bust of the starter you wish to lease, or write 100+ words about them learning about the raid, wanting to help, etc, and link that piece when signing up for the raid. They will then join your team for the duration of the raid!
-When signing up for the raid please include a loadout of 4 skills for the starter you're using. These 4 skills must all be of the same attunement and should match the attunement listed on the starter's import.
-The skills chosen can be any 4 skills in the starter's attunement and these are the four skills the starter will be able to use in battle.
-Alternatively, a starter may be used as a medic instead of a fighter and in that case you will just list cauterize as their skill loadout.
-When submitting for prizes at the end of the raid starters will count as elder but will not earn titles.
-Starters are first come first serve and the same starter cannot be used by multiple people.
BOSS DETAILS
The boss we will be battling is the marvellous Guro! You can read more about him on his Pantheon page.
Guro, like all of Velukaelo's deities can shift size at will! They could be as big as a mountain, or as small as your ketucari! 50% of their form must be visible (This can be mostly tentacles if you like!) Guro’ Attacks If you need some inspiration, you may depict Guro using one of their special attacks against your ketucari! Guro is a Greheli user and often uses their magic to adjust the area around them.
Sandstorm - ‘Guro kicks up a massive sandstorm, blinding your ketucari. Their dexterity is lowered for the next 2 turns’ This *CAN* stack!
Constrict - Guro snatches your ketucari up in one tentacle. They miss their turn and take damage!
'Devour' - Guro's stomach opens up and tentacles surround you, trying to pull you in. Getting out will be tricky!
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR RAID ENCOUNTERS
-
Sexual content is not allowed for raid entries.
-
You may submit 1 raid piece for your fighters and medic per day for the first two weeks of the raid. If the raid extends beyond 2 weeks, the submission limit will be lifted and you can submit as many pieces as you like.
-
Literature entries must be at least 100 words and be centered around your ketucari engaging in the battle. The boss should play a role in the story.
-
Art entries, at minimum, should be loose, uncolored sketches with the hint of a background resembling the respective zone. They do not require shading. The boss must be at least 50% visible.
-
There is a maximum of 4 ketucari per piece. Collaborations are allowed.
-
To submit a piece, please use the Raid- Fighter or Raid- Medic prompts on the ketucari website for each ketucari in the piece.
-
A seperate submission needs to be made for each ketucari in the piece and they will each need a form from below attached with their actions, as well as a link to both their DA import and Ketucari site import.

You are allowed to enter one support ketucari if you have fighters/medics already participating in the raid. If you have no fighters/medics, you may participate with up to four support ketucari.

-
What your ketucari is doing is up to you! Are they collecting wood or herbs to assist the raid? Using magic to allow enhance or protect the fighters? Keep in mind however, that your ketucari should not be depicted battling the boss or healing the fighters (as that falls under fighter/medic participation), and it should be clear that your ketucari is supporting the raid. In other words, no showing off your magic in an empty field!
-
There is a maximum of 4 ketucari per piece. Collaborations are allowed.
To submit a piece, please use the Raid- Support prompt on the ketucari website for each ketucari in the piece. A seperate submission needs to be made for each ketucari in the piece and they will each need a link to both their DA import and ketucari.com import included.

EVENT STATUS
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIIIThank you everyone for a wonderful February! We look forward to the uncoming year with all the new fresh faces.
We hope you all had fun in Zolkanis! Zolkanis itself is NOW OPEN TO ACTIVITIES! We hope you enjoy it!
Zone Objectives are now open for Zolkanis, as well, with a shiny new BG available as soon as I figure out where the other admins put it!
Matchmaker was a hit as always!
Season 3 of The Wanderer Slot Raffle has begun! The previous Wanderers have been handed out to their new owners!
With Season 3 of the Wanderers, we are introducing Three new feather types!
Please say hello to Lucerne, Nicobar, and Jacobin!
PSDs should be available later in March or by late April, unfortunately due to various irl circumstances Rynos have not yet been given the new feathers and we would prefer not to prematurely release them on the other builds.
Due to some last minute delays, the Antikutan Raid will be delayed by a day or two while we get the journal set up.
Important QOL updates for everyone:
Mixed roll types are now permitted. Please see the adventuring guide for more information.
A Horn Pack specifically for Danuocs is in the works, courtessy of the tireless efforts by pawstepsinthesnow working to redraw the horns so they actually fit on the Danuoc base. This will be released as soon as it is completed.
We would also like to remind players both new and old of some of our less used features such as:
-Elemental Blessings at the Tarn
-Packs!
-Zone and Player Objectives

February Spotlight
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIIIAcross the land of Velukaelo, celebrities are common. Ketucari and two-leggers alike slip in and out of the spotlight as easily as breathing. 15 minutes of fame, a lifetime of satisfaction. One ketucari however, has made it clear that she is searching for the next big thing.
Will it be you?
How Spotlights work:
Spotlights are reserved for artists and writers who show improvement and effort in their works. Every month or so, admins will scour the art of Ketucari users for Tashtai, searching for an artist or art that catches their attention for improvement. Tashtai will then pick one out if the set and show it off for everyone to see, featuring several of their works!
We will also feature several Quality Roll pieces as well! These will be one piece per artist, but all are incredibly impressive.
Remember that this is judged against your own gallery and skill level. If you're a beginner, you will not be passed over for a quality roll because your art isn't of the same caliber as someone who has been drawing for 10+ years. This would be unfair and that is not our goal! However, we do require that the effort be noticeable as we do not want players abusing this feature. We will be considering things such as anatomy, background quality, and posing for art, and story flow and creativity for literature. We will be lenient with grammar and spelling for those for whom English is not their first language, so don't fret if that's the case!
Artworks featured in Spotlights will be awarded with a Quality Roll.
Quality Rolls
Quality Rolls on Lorekeeper are somewhat different than their previous incarnations! All Quality Rolls - Spotlights and otherwise - will be granted a chest called Tashtai's Crate, stocked with many various goods from across Velukaelo!
Have a suggestion for a spotlight? Note MAtriarchs-Haunt with the player, a few of their pieces, and why you think they should be featured!
Current Spotlight
Tashtai seems to have found someone to her liking and she would like to share them with you! Tashtai, would you like to take the floor?
“Thank you. And thank all of you for coming to this spotlight gallery today. I believe I have found this week’s new celebrity. They have put a lot of effort into improving themselves and I’d like to give them a moment of fame.” The buff ketucari steps back and pulls a cord, lifting the curtains from a stunning work.
"@PencilPavlova (also known as Unarla) has been consistently improving and creating beautiful work for a long while - you've doubtlessly seen their work throughout the group's history, always immediately recognizeable by their distinctive and unique character designs. Watching them work out new characters and play with shapes and color is always a treat! They also have excellent writing abilities, particularly in comics!
In their work we see improvement/interest in many areas:
Individualization: One of the best traits in @PencilPavlova's works is how unique everything is. Their character designs are unique, certainly, but the little details that Pav puts into their backgrounds, the grasses in the sand in Sunye, the little flowers in the Illahaesa Mountains, it's clear that Pav puts a lot of thought and attention into how to build a scene and make it more than just a generic setting.
Color and lighting: Two words: Unified palettes. @PencilPavlova does such gorgeous work with palettes and making a scene cohesive that even the occasional non-story piece from Pav is such a treat to look at with everything looking like it belongs in the same piece. As exemplified in the comic page above, Pav is also excellent at using rim-lighting .
Character and Emotion: @PencilPavlova has made multiple admins cry with the Furcifer and Daramos plot. We grew to love these characters and then Pav made them cry and then we cried with them and it was wonderful and I really don't have better words for this because I don't wish to spoil their stories more than this comic page already has. Pav is so good at character writing and making us care about these characters and portraying the emotion the character is feeling through either their expression or the scenery and lighting.
I have decorated the gallery with a few others works done by @PencilPavlova. Make sure to check out their gallery as well! I am sure you will find a favorite just like I have!"
Current Quality Roll Feature
The rest of the gallery features various artists' pieces on display, including:
Bottled Lightning, by ZooofAlexandria
The dramatic lighting in his piece and the dynamic poses are just a delight to look at.
Lending a Claw by CeriMond / Kushiel
The emotion in this piece and all of the little details on Nanai show how much Kush has improved in the last year. Nanai looks so peaceful.
Sea Bird Hunt by Wormbie
So much motion, so much detail, the textures, the colors, the bright sun! It feels like something out of a storybook.
Harvest by @dragonoxide
The colors and details, particularly the details in the shading and on the groundstreak, and in Raptor's frill, are just lovely, and despite standing still the pose is powerful and dynamic.
We've realized the group just doesn't have quite enough activity for monthly Spotlights, so we will be striving for a 2-3 month model, based on activity levels and admin availability to write up the posts!
That said, we hope to see you all in April with our next spotlight! Thank you everyone for making this group a joy to be in!
UPCOMING RAIDS! (And other events)
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIIIhttps://www.deviantart.com/iiixkitsunexiii/art/The-Death-of-A-Zone-905303189
Raid Specifics and Reminders
-
Firstly, keep in mind this raid, like all raids, will last a maximum of 1 month! You are free to enter ketucari at any point in the raid. There is no signup deadline!
-
Regardless of the domain guardian's health, the raid will last for at least one week.
-
Since the raid boss has a set health this go around, there is a possibility that admins will adjust their max and total health as needed to prevent while we figure out the correct number. We will notify the group if so.
-
New to this raid, all pieces need to be submitted through prompts on ketucari.com which will necessitate every participant having an account on the site. Raid pieces will still need to be submitted to the group if possible.
-
Raid pieces can be used for Bonding, but must meet group minimum requirements to count for themes. If you are including more than 4 ketucari in a literature piece for themes, this means you will need 800+ words per Raid piece to get a theme for everyone.
Raid Entry Requirement and Raiding Process Reminders
-
There are three types of Raid Roles: Fighter, Medic, and Support. A Raid Party can consist of 1-3 Fighters and a Medic (+1 Support), 1-4 Fighters (+1 Support), or up to 4 Supports.
-
In order for your ketucari to join a Raid Party they must be at full health (i.e. 50/50) and have at least one attack skill (for a Fighter), or Cauterize (for a Medic).
-
Medics cannot attack, they can only use Cauterize twice per turn.
-
Fighters get 3 to 5 attacks per turn, just like in a regular battle.
-
Supports don't do or take damage, and receive fewer rewards, but each support tier increases the power of everyone's Raid team!
-
Raid piece minimum requirements are: colored (or color-coded) sketches showing the zone, the attacking guardian, and all members of the player's raid team. It takes 3 of these piece to "count" as having participated in the raid. Alternatively you may submit 1 fully finished piece (group minimum requirements) instead.
-
Packs can gain territory from Raids!
-
Shift forms gain various bonuses if used!
-
Winter's Breath and Strategic Planning may be used Once Total per Raid! Their bonuses will apply to all participants in the raid.
ZOLKANIS GRAND OPENING [New info]
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIII
https://www.deviantart.com/matriarchs-haunt/journal/ZOLKANIS-GRAND-OPENING-904393491
***A great thick poison fog that has seemingly forever covered a massive area of the western sea has started to lift, curious sailors and bystanders approach on boat, shocked to find an entirely new land!!
You join the first ships of curious onlookers approaching the docks, a pretty seaport village lays before you, you gaze in awe at the gorgeous lands around you, and...wait, ABOVE YOU?! Looking up one can in fact see hundreds of floating islands, some massive, some small, all incredibly impressive and seemingly held up by nothing!
> ZOLKANIS <
Waterfalls cascade down from many of the islands, falling into shimmering freshwater lakes below. The lands underneath are vast gorgeous valleys of vibrant wildflowers and shrubbery, a few scattered trees can be seen among the rolling floral hills, in the distance your eyes fall upon the shimmering mirage like salt flats that scatter about the beautiful lands.
Flocks of gorgeous feathered beasts circle above, releasing gentle birdsong into the air, you can see now just how filled with LIFE this strange new world is. Huge horned beasts graze among the lowlands as tiny raptor-like avians perch atop their backs. It’s beautiful, and entirely new.
You’re so busy staring at what's around you that you don’t notice the small strange figure in front of you until she’s practically shouting for your attention. “Hey! There you are, jeez, I know it's pretty but it's rude not to say hello you know! Especially in the presence of divinity!” She grins at your look of confusion, a gentle laugh coming from her. “Don’t worry you’ll meet them soon!” She beams and you finally get the chance to REALLY look at her. She’s small, but very much ketucari like in scent and appearance, she almost reminds you of Danuoc, but smaller…and ketified, and very fluffy.
“Oh! I can see you staring, that’s also kinda rude you know? But I don’t mind, it's probably a lot to take in huh? Well it’s a good thing I’m here! I’m Aira! Or Ai...whichever you prefer! I’m the ambassador of this land, what land you may ask? Why Zolkanis of course!” She darts around you excitedly, seemingly filled with energy. “I’m a ketucari like you, but I was made from Danuoc, just like Ryno has made ketucari from herself, you’d be surprised how many of us are here!” She notes your look of confusion. “Oh, well, you’re probably wondering why we’re here huh?”
A look of sadness crosses her face. “A very long time ago, the wars threatened to wipe our kind from Velukaelo, so Danuoc gathered us all up and brought us here, to her best friend, the domain guardian of this zone, Igyera. They promised Danuoc that they would protect us no matter what, and then cast their poison fog in a barrier outside the land, protecting us until Danuoc felt it was safe once more for us to be free.”
She looks thoughtful. “She asked me to act as an ambassador for you all, to welcome you to these wonderful lands and answer any questions you might have about us all!!” She smiles, her tail flicking. “Follow me!! We have a huge journey ahead of us!”
Welcome to Zolkanis! The New Zone of Velukaelo, home of the danuoc build ketucari!

The Winter Lights
Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIII[THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED. WINNERS ANNOUNCED >HERE<]
A chill wind rolls across the plains of Messus, and three rynos stand before you.
The Winter Lights, they’re called. Three spiritual devotees--followers of Seijalka, Neve, and Tauratu who have left their homes on a pilgrimage to explore the world. For some reason, wherever the trio travels, the world seems Brighter, with the sun glinting off the snow more than it should, or the night sky igniting with colors.
The Winter Lights are looking for new homes. Will they find yours?
IMPORT RAFFLE
There are three imports being raffled off this year, and entry is simple! The characters found in these ketucari’s profiles are optional to keep.
Brynhild - Former devotee of Seijalka, believed to have been born from an Aurora. Has been maintaining a shrine to Seijalka on Aegrus for several years, but has passed the torch on to a new devotee and is off on a pilgrimage to explore the world.
Chorus - A former follower of Neve, the Goddess of Joy. They travelled with her until recently, due to the aura of joy and contentment that surrounded her. Chorus is enraptured by winter and the light displays of the season.
Solfrid - An orphan found and taken in by Tauratu and Seijalka who admires the Winter King to this day. Solfrid seeks to follow in Tauratu’s pawsteps and bring joy and goodwill to the people of Velukaelo who may otherwise be without during the holidays.
How to Enter:
Draw or Write about your ketucari (or a starter!) interacting with the ketucari you’re entering for.
The piece must meet minimum requirements for the number of ketucari portrayed (both at 50% visibility, or 600+words). These pieces can be rolled as Adventures, Tarns, or Skill Unlocks for the interacting ketucari, but Not for the raffle ketucari. As such, these may take place anywhere in Velukaelo!
These pieces may later be used by the raffle ketucari for bonding (with the original artist’s permission)!
Each piece only counts for One of the three Lights of Winter, though more than one can be portrayed. You may enter for more than one ketucari, but only win one.
Comment below with your piece and which ketucari you’re entering for.
New owners will be rolled Dec 31th, 12PM Pacific Time.
Admins may not enter for the geno they personally designed, but may enter for the other two.
Each ketucari comes with an unapplied Light Blessing for their new owners to design as they please. PSDs will be made available to the winners. This Light Blessing does not count against either of the two that a ketucari can learn, meaning Brynhild, Chorus, and Solfrid may have a possible total of Three Elemental Blessings if a nature scroll is applied to them.
Names should be kept as at least a nickname for the ketucari even if lore is not maintained.
These ketucari are not allowed to be redesigned or sold.

SITE ERROR: Character transfers bugged [RESOLVED]
Posted 3 years ago :: Last edited 3 years ago by IIIXKitsuneXIIIEarlier today we discovered an error in character transfers: that is to say that for some reason character transfers are showing up for people Not their intended recipient. We don't yet know what's causing this. However, if you have transferred a character in the last week and it went to the Wrong Person, please let us know ASAP so we can make a manual transfer to the Intended recipient.
We will update you all as Soon as possible about the cause of the error and when we get it fixed. We can confirm that if a transfer is intended for you you will get a notification.
We are so so sorry for the confusion this may have caused. We know at least one character that may have accidentally gone to an admin instead of the intended recipient, which will be remedied as soon as we confirm who the intended recipient of the character was.
UPDATE: THE ERROR HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
All affected characters should now be back in pending, or their transfers fixed so they're with their intended recipient.
Draginraptor has provided the following explanation for what happened:
- It should have only affected active transfers (i.e. transfers that were active before the site update, and new transfers that were made).
- There's a piece of code that updates the details of users involved in transfers whenever a page related to a user is visited (e.g. user profile). Unfortunately there was one specific section that was not updated to be in line with the recent update.
- This old code checked user aliases from the old system to update transfer users in case someone who was originally offsite joined while the transfer was still active. However, after the update, aliases from the old system were cleared after the new system was put in place, so the code would errorneously match NULL aliases from users to NULL aliases in the transfers.
Changes to Lineage Skills
Posted 3 years ago :: Last edited 3 years ago by pawstepsinthesnowNovember Spotlight
Posted 3 years ago :: Last edited 3 years ago by AnarchieAcross the land of Velukaelo, celebrities are common.
"IIIXKitsuneXIII has been consistently improving and creating beautiful work for a long while - you've probably seen xir works around! Xe has consistently made stunning works and experimented with different styles to produce amazing pieces. Kitsu also is a fantastic writer, and xir pieces tell amazing stories, whether through literature or visual art.
In their work we see improvement/interest in many areas:
Details: Whether writing or drawing, IIIXKitsuneXIII shows great attention to detail. Many visual pieces show exceptional backgrounds with just enough detail not to be distracting, but still be incredibly eye-catching. Lit pieces are incredibly descriptive about how the characters are feeling and the location they're in. Kitsu's pieces are always a treat for the eye and imagination.
Stylization: Many of IIIXKitsuneXIII's pieces are forays into various styles, and all of them are impressive! It's always attention-grabbing when Kitsu tries something new, and often comes out amazing. Some of the additional examples below show these various styles!
Color and lighting: IIIXKitsuneXIII displays wonderful use of color in xir pieces. Both ketucari and backgrounds are a treat to look at, and lighting is wonderful. Light reflects off of solid objects and ketucari beautifully, and texture is often visible in shading.
I have decorated the gallery with a few others works done by IIIXKitsuneXIII. Make sure to check out their gallery as well! I am sure you will find a favorite just like I have!"
Literature: Shelter from the Storm
"The wind howled over the lake, crashing its waves against the shore, dispersing the titular mist that normally blanketed the normally ocean-blue waters. The trees snapped and cracked against each other, groaning, screaming protests into the oncoming storm. A massive ryno struggled against the wind, grateful that at least the rain had yet to reach the lake. He pushed through the shelter of a bush and towering fir, shuddering as the wind snatched his fur and yanked back on it. Not to mention the niggling pain between his shoulders… he needed to get to the shore, just get to the path where he… he could regroup there. His family and vassals-- they’d know where to look, certainly?"
Current Quality Roll Feature
The rest of the gallery features various artists' pieces on display, including:
Aftermath, by Chaccra
This is an amazing and dramatic piece - it tells so much in the composition and emotion, and the texture work is amazing!
A Royal Battle, by Noirmori
The limited palette work here is great! All of the kets look amazing in this purple sheen.
You can not have him! by JFJL
The limited use of color in this really makes it stand out, and the detail in this is amazing!
Park Cuddles, by pawstepsinthesnow
The stylization in this is lovely! The texture on the ketucari came out excellent, and the general aesthetic is wonderful.
We'll see you in December with the next feature! Thank you for making so much lovely art for us to enjoy!
